There’s no reason billy joe can’t go the distance here. I’m not saying he’s sure to win, but come on! If he’s fully fit his length and speed should keep him from being kod. Also bjs has a good chin. Most likely it goes the distance. Koing bjs is a very big ask. I’d be very impressed with canelo if he can do that.

I'll let you know when these ones wear off!

I'm sticking with it, I honestly believe that Saunders has it in him to do 12 rounds, win 7 but be robbed. Alvarez isn't invincible, Golovkin definitely beat him once, Lara and Trout can argue that they beat him too, he maybe in his prime but Saunders can upset things.

Definitely! Canelo is not a certain winner here. This can go either way. Canelo is rightly favourite, but bjs is a live underdog!

I train at the Tibbs Gym and the team directly around BJS are realistic but also very positive. I don’t see him getting embarrassed here, I possibly even see him coming away with a moral victory. Canelo though is absolute prime, has been very active, is just too good and has the home advantages. Canelo by UD

Great to hear from people on the ground there. Morale is Good In The camp. Canelo by UD seems the best bet, but you never know. Canelo has never faced anyone like Bill. Slicksters like Lara and Mayweather gave him lots of trouble and Billy is a lot bigger than them. You never know...

    Levels guys.
Whilst I'm a fan of bjs as a fighter he's not elite.. and i expect a similar narrative to the fight as Williams vs Andrade. Williams looked so good fighting solid domestic level fighters but as soon as he met a propped world level fighter boo "contained Williams and made him look basic, but full of grit.
Bjs to look good for 4 rds then starts to unravel. Maybe he'll make it to the end the scorecards will probably be wider than we've all scored it but 8/4 is what I'm expecting

It’s one of them. Would I be hugely surprised if Saunders won? Not particularly because Canelo has struggled against that style in the past. But Canelo is a completely different animal now. He’s in his absolute prime and he isn’t going to let up. I will go with a Canelo stoppage round 8 but I’m not saying that with much confidence.

Canelo is/will be an all time great. He’s in his prime, at present I can’t see a weakness at all in him. People go back 4/5 years to look for weaknesses or poor performances. Saunders on the other hand has been on the decline ever since an overhyped win against Lemieux. He’s been really, really poor at Super Middle and shown absolutely nothing to suggest he’s still got something in his locker to trouble the great Saul Alvarez.

For me as much as I like watching Canelo I cant wait to see him beat either.

He has had everything his own way over the years regarding catch weights , rehydration clauses etc, he should have 3 if not 4 losses on his record but due to the money he generates he has lost one and even though he lost every round he only lost on a split decision.

For me Canelo is bad for boxing, he is good to watch but he is p4p number 1 through corruption only, he shouldn't even be in the position he finds himself in and while I'm ranting a 6 month ban for a failed drug test is a disgrace and shows again how corrupt everything is regarding Canelo .

I cant wait to see him knocked out unfortunately billy joe spray wont be doing it either

If Saunders produces a career best performance, it still may not be enough. As previously posted, Canelo has great defence and head movement and can punch with enough venom to keep Saunders away. It would be great for Britain if BJS can do it. Canelo for me all day long, he is just too good.

Canelo has too many dodgy decisions, too much of a cherry picker and a cheater to ever be a great.
