It's an interesting discussion.. you could argue that his body of work & longevity puts him ahead of Floyd. In a similar way that you could argue Bhops just pushes him ahead of Roid Jones. Regardless of the loss he suffered to him..

That is more of a p4p response. I can respect that. The p4p list frustrates me at times because of that, but never the less it should be considered. So lets take a closer look.

    2 things however.
    Physically smaller.
Manny fought as a flyweight at the age of 17.
Mayweather fought as flyweight at the age of 17.
    Floyd Amature Manny Pro

They are both obviously physically smaller and they actually fought in the same weight class at the same age.

With your argument Mayweather competes against all naturally bigger, longer guys. titles taken across divisions. longevity. level of competition aswell being he was in the same division as paquiao at the same age.

    The p4p arguement.
Mayweather beat Paquaio. On the p4p list when 1 and 2 fight who wins that fight becomes #1 as he bested the best.

look at another sport for instance. The NFL. The broadcaster says even if Patrick Mahomes finishes his career with 7 superbowl wins to tie Brady, he loses head to head because Brady beat him which would be a tie breaker as Brady would still be considered the best.

Paquiao Has 20ish more Fights than Mayweather and has not beat more champions, and Mayweather has retired 6 years ago. Mayweather has beat More linear champions.

Also very important Mayweather has fought more Top 5 ranked welterweights.

Don’t forget Tarver. Nobody would say he had a better career than Roy.

yes, there is not a huge size difference between pac and floyd, as far as weight, but its there and must be taken into account. but the dimensions floyd has are of a bigger man, fat percentage being equal. and yes floyd might have weighed the same at the same age as a child, but floyd was not building legacy and dispatching grown champions like manny was. that counts.
titles are only as good as the man wearing them. manny has more elite level wins than floyd does.

Dont get so upset. Manny has a wife already. You looked it up I went off memory this is **** that happend a long time ago.

However you still done Paquiao no favors. if De La Hoya was old when Floyd fought him at 154. What was De La Hoya at 147 a year later at a weight class he hasnt fought in for a decade?

Ok so he Made Brandon Rios come up to Welterweight. Another 140# having to move up to fight Paquiao meanwhile the welterweight division has a top 5 list that Mayweather is fighting, we watched paquiao fight another 140 pounder.

Dont gloat. You just educated me. its a good thing. Heres the conclusion
Manny bloats 140 pounders for easy pickens and he drains bigger fighters. Got it.

Paquiao won the WBC title at age 20
Mayweather won the wbc title at age 21

Mayweather won his title against a Hall of Famer and he had 17 wins 13 knockouts at the time. He went on to stop many of those champions. Him and Mosley had the highest KO ratio at the time.

Can you talk about who these more elite fighters are?

You say stupid ****, so I corrected you. And was Pac supposed to jump THREE weight classes to fight Oscar?

Okay, but Rios was still the larger man on fight night... And Berto, Ortiz, Guerrero, and Maidana were all former 140 pounders...

Bring something to the table next time.

No. Paquiao and Floyd are both on the p4p list and at there best.
This wasnt the case for Hops and Jones.

Hopkins went on to fight THE ABSOLUTE BEST
Paquiao fought 1 good fighter after
and Broner and tried to line up Ryan Garcia
The hopkins Jones discussion is a diffrent animal.

Hopkins resume isnt debatable. No one ever argues who has the better career in this discussion. I have Andre Ward Resume over jones.

They where 147 pound champions and Maidana was p4p #9 Ortiz was Ranked #3 and Guerro I have to see what he was Ranked at the time of the fight But I thought he was Ranked #4 but I will check.
    All This was Happening while

    Paquiao
Rios, Bradley where 140 pounds who where 1st time 147 fighters. And he lost to Bradley and fought him 3x You are trolling at this point.

Guerrero, Ortiz, and Berto were all terrible. Like terrible opponents.

And the fact that you dug up your thread from 11 years ago... and Pac just beat a young, prime, undefeated welterweight in his last fight... Pretty much says it all.

    Pac > Floyd

    Deal with it.

Berto was a terrible fight. Who just knocked out the guy (Jossesito) who took Thurman life in death, that young, prime, undefeated welter paquiao beat in his last fight. Lets not leave that out.

So I looked it up Guerrero was also Ranked #3 at the time of the fight. So You mean to sit here and Tell me Mayweather fighting 2 welterweights both Ranked #3 1 year apart Are terrible fights to you? Marquez was #2 and Floyd already beat him.

That same year he fought Guerro Paquiao fought rios,

Same year He fought Ortiz Marquez Knocked Paquiao at both smaller fighters.
