How does Usman`s power compare to the punching power of boxers?

Nice find! It was cool to watch. I wonder if Usman, or someone in his camp, watched this fight and practiced for it.
I don't know that it is a glaring weakness. It's only happened twice in 50 fights. I don't know what is bare knuckle record is, so it isn't taking any of that into account.

 

Trevor Whittman is considered one of the most brilliant minds in MMA, and it stands to reason that he studied the fight from 2008, along with Wonderboys knockdown of Jorge, and attempted to exploit the hole in Masvidal's defense.

Masvidal is and was a borderline journeyman who got the initial fight through being a fan favourite.

The fact that he got a rematch before Covington, plus Usman wants to fight anyone who is not Covington speaks volumes.

 

He probably hits a bit harder than Jake Paul in gloves which isn't saying a whole lot.

Or Oliviera`s punch power, plus Chandler is much easier to hit than Usman.
