Was just thinking about him and his upcoming fight with Parker.

The mans resume is STACKED. By far the best resume of any active HW.

    @tinman

Please explain how LOSING to a list of fighters makes it the BEST resume around in heavyweight boxing?

Please explain how being a LOSER makes your resume great?

    I'm genuinely fascinated.

Better than the 8 guys who have beat him 10 times?

I mean, if you are just talking about who he has fought, sure. In terms of the wins, not so much.

So obviously his record sucks in the sense that he lost every major fight. However it's impressive in that he's fought just about every major name. Fury is 2-0 in world title fights. To his credit it's against the two best guys, but it would be nice to have a champion that was busy fighting the best guys in the division. Instead it's the world class journeyman doing it.

That's not specific to Fury, it's up and down all the boxing divisions. Fighters and promoters aren't making fights happening so our biggest fights are coming from youtube stars. Just a sad state to be in.

By that “logic” I would argue David Jaco has the best resume in all of boxing. I mean the mans resume is STACKED.

    HE FOUGHT:

    1. Carl “The truth” Williams
    2. Razor Ruddock
    3. Tony Tucker
    4. Mike Tyson
    5. Buster Douglas
    6. Mike Weaver
    7. Oliver McCall
    8. George Foreman
    9. Tommy Morrison
    10. “Smokin” Bert Cooper
The list goes on. True legend of the sport amirite?

The other way to look at this is the glass half full half empty argument. If you were a semi-talented boxer would you rather say I gave it my all and fought the best and lost or just say I lost to some bum fighters. If David Jaco was your friend or brother, would you be proud or down on him for not winning these fights?

Stacked with losses, but ever since hooking up with David Haye and his magic potions he has looked great

Agree about the magic potions that Haye has been sprinkling on his cornflakes.

I have never seen him look better in his entire career than the Szpilka, Price and Usyk fights. This current version is only possibly close to the version that pushed Vitali at times a long time ago.

Mr lethargic and inconsistent Dell boy is a thing of the past.

Let’s be clear we can all name holders of the HW belt who would have lost to him. So let’s not take the ****.

    I love David Jaco.

    Has a real amazing story...

Jaco was divorced in 1979 but stayed with his ex-wife, who had custody of their twin sons, in hopes of reconciling. He described his ex-wife as a hopeless drug addict, and when she split the Toledo area and took the boys to Florida, he was terrified.

But before he could track her down, he needed cash. And before he could get the cash, he had to survive Tyson. So basically Jaco, for his kids, gets into the ring with the most feared up and coming monster (Tyson) so he can Liam Neeson after his two boys.

    That’s what hero’s do.

I have more respect for guys who fought the best and lost, than I do for those who cherry pick their career in order to maintain a zero on the end of their record.

But he lost them all

The suggestion he has the best resume of current heavyweights is just backwards..
