JCC is a bridge to far for Mosley.

    JCC wins a UD

Where speed is concerned, this fight reminds me of March 17 1990, when Meldrick Taylor was on the verge of handing Julio Caesar Chavez Sr his first defeat. But Julio would do the same to Sugar Shane Mosley, he would rob him of his speed and stamina with very wicked body blows. Rounds would go by as Shane begins to run out of breath and hangs on. As another good fighter at 135 lbs experienced, named Edwin El Chapo Rosario, who was dismantled in 1987, Mosley too will be stopped, this time in round 10 by the kind mercy of the referee.

I don't know, this is a tough fight. Shane was very, very good at 135. Strong with excellent hand speed.
Chavez is Chavez, we know what he brings. I think experience makes the difference here. Shane was prime, but probably just lacks the experience at this stage of his career to beat Chavez.
Chavez by decision, but it'd be a close fight until Chavez starts to figure Mosely out.

Mosley was a very good Lightweight. But, Chavez was better and wins a clear UD

this thread is not about who had the greater legacy, it is about who will win.

JCC by far is ahead of SM in terms of legacy, but style wise, shane only had issues with boxers not brawlers.
shane also went up to 147 and 154 and had a beard of steel.

I would say he was stronger and hit harder than pernell whitaker.

    I would say 51% - JCC, 49% - Mosely

I really like Mosely in this.

Chavez will get countered to death if he tries those hooks to the body way on the outside with this guy. And I think Shane just turns him all night and wins a comfy decision by landing his combos and getting out of there. Do not see the Chavez footwork being very effective against this opponent. And the big edge in handspeed and Mosely just won't be a guy in there taking risks or providing opportunities for Julio to capitalize on. Decision bout all the way and neither guy will be hurt---more of a fencing match than a fight.

Sort of reminds me of Chavez vs Randall. If both are their best neither stops the other. Very close decision. Chavez forever pressing forward and Moseley trying to counter. Can’t decide who wins but very close. Whatever the decision the fans will argue case for their man. It could be a Chavez W Majority Decision sort of result.
