In about 90% of his fights I found Ali boring .. an exceptional presence and a warrior but the style , especially in lesser fights, dull.

    Mayweather, the same.

    Whitaker, the same.

All have that very generic boring style and not a lot of power...all were exceptional fighters though. Calling Ernie an ATG though Is questionable lol. ATG contender for sure.

Mayweather (most of the time, but he was in a couple of compelling bouts)
Andre Ward (again, most of the time, but had the odd moment)
Wlad K (anti-adrenaline, delivered by eye)

I don’t consider Ward and Wlad all-time greats but those would be my three picks. Winky Wright was another stinker but again not great.

Floyd is definitely the one I consider great and boring as hell.

Yeah - I don't rate Ward or Wlad as P4P ATGs, either. But, they were the sleep-inducers at the forefront of my mind.

Wright is a good shout. Not a P4P Great, as you say, but all his fights seemed to look the same to me.

I can't pick even one. I was never bored watching any of the All-Time Greats fighting.

I kind of agree with you. If they are great, I can greatly appreciate them.

Let's just say there are some I can watch any time, and some I definitely need to be 'in the right mood' to watch and enjoy.

I never really understood why so many people find Mayweather boring. Obviously, everybody loves the big punchers who rack up the knockouts, but in terms of pure boxers, Mayweather is one of my favorites to watch. I’ve always been intrigued by his mastery of that shoulder roll defense and counterpunching style. There aren’t many guys who can really pull that shoulder roll off too well. I love watching how fast his reflexes and reaction times are too.
