This is a gross distortion on the truth. 210 pound heavyweights are not the same as 240+ pounders.

Put on gloves and box someone heavier than you if you do not understand this.

Foreman has outmuscled opponents weighing more than 220 in both careers.

And again, he never got pushed backed or outmuscled so why would you assume that his best quality would suddenly be ineffective?

Yes I have boxed before. Being 240 doesn't automatically make you He-man. In fact, nowadays a lot of guys are simply overweight or straight up obese in the division and do not have a lot of functional physical strength. You can have a man weighing 210 that can outmuscle and overwhelm men 30 lbs heavier in wrestling/grappling. Unless the 240 guy is very muscular that isn't always going to immediately translate to an advantage in strength. Not how that works.

I assume that if Foreman were giving up 20 pounds routinely, he would resemble the guy from the Jimmy Young fight a lot more often.

You think modern day flat footed obese behemoths would look like Jimmy Young, the slippery defensive wizard?

If anything Foreman would have an easier time without having to chase those guys around the ring.

Many of these behemoths are not obese and some are pretty quick on their feet. Some also seem to possess massive power the likes of which I doubt Foreman has dealt with.

As far as being outmuscled or pushed back, Ali seemed to outmuscle him in clinches and walked Foreman back.

Purrity....Brewster......Peter.....Byrd etc etc all took glass chinned WK's shots and either stopping him or going the distance........and all of them are subpar cream puffs.

While a agree Foreman has some limitations but he is all wrong for WK...............Foreman pulls a Sanders on him, 10 out of 10, so would Tyson/Bowe.

Yet Wladimir Klitschko was somehow able to reign for 9 years and rack up 19 title defenses against numerous guys better than Purrity, Brewster, etc. So apparently he was able to eliminate the weaknesses that lead to those losses

I’m talking about the exhaustion Foreman suffered fighting Jimmy Young in his first ever (!) 12 rounder.

If he spoke to God after this fight, Jesus would be walking to the ring with him for fights with Andy Ruiz and Tyson Fury. St. Peter would be his cut man.

Ok, he fought nothing but cannon fodder, never were Euros like the Bulgarian, French Pastry chefs or the fraud of the century David Haye.

He stunk the joint out so bad that the US networks refused to air his fights.............the same networks who paid mega bucks for Mayweather.Pac/Canelo etc etc......because they delivered.

Name me ONE fighter of WK's nine year reign as you claim you would make a favorite to beat Foreman......and in hindsight green Fury or AJ would not be Favorites going into a Foreman bout, as a matter of fact Foreman would ice the Bodybuilder, if stone old shot WK can put him down Foreman puts him down and out.

He was exhausted because he was fighting a slippery defensive wizard in hot outdoor Puerto Rican weather. Young made him miss and blocked/parried many shots throughout the fight. Missing and getting countered takes A LOT out of you.

Jimmy also wasn't anywhere near 240.

I find it really interesting how hot weather unilaterally seemed to affect Foreman and not his opponents.

Fighting the Jimmy Young’s and Chris Byrd’s of the world does not induce exhaustion like fighting an Andy Ruiz. Ruiz’s three highest profile wins ended in his opponents quitting. That is not coincidental.

Yes, it was Foreman's own fault in not getting acclimated to the Puerto Rican weather. It's was also George's fault fighting himself into exhaustion when he wasn't making any headway with a survival artist. The thing is, Ruiz, for example, would be there to fight, not just survive.
