June 19th @ Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. WBA super world and IBF world bantamweight titles at stake, Inoue's second and third defenses respectively. Dasmariñas is the WBA #8 and IBF #1 ranked contender.
Dasmariñas is a decent fighter, and product of the notoriously iron-forging-iron domestic Pinoy scene - where he is maye not a tall poppy necessarily, but a reasonable height one. He does, unfortunately, however, not only have a KO loss in the pros to Marbon Bodiongan (now 15-9-2 with eleven knockouts) but was also stopped with headgear on by Lorenz Michael Solon Romarate (now 14-1-1, nine kayos) in the amateurs. His chin, in other words, isn't the impregnable fortress you'd want in somebody looking to stretch Inoue some rounds.
Two votes for Dasmariñas, but they're from Pinoy homer Thanos and known troll IntentionalBrit - so, zero serious votes.
I wanna see Inoue fighting Rigo and then move up. Why is he fighting ranked 18? Not that he had to get a tune up after Moloney
....This Dasmarinas seemed like a decent chap at the press yesterday, too bad he will get absolutely pulvarized by the Monster.
