Hearn backed the wrong horse in Fowler imo. Granted, he's a model athlete, but he's pretty dislikeable and uncharismatic. Because he's invested in Fowler he will be desperate for Fowler to avenge the defeat. Sadly I think he probably will given what Fitz has been through in the last 18 months.

Heartwarming words, but I couldn't disagree more. Fowler is a terrific guy and is very likeable. He's also outrageously talented and is improving all of the time.

I don't know the ins and outs of what he's been through in the last year but it takes time to heal, he'll feel self-conscious and paranoid about what people have heard about him etc. He's putting himself back in the spotlight which is a brave thing to do, as long as he dedicates himself to boxing his confidence will come back soon. Such a talented fighter, hope he can get himself back on track now.

Although bigger in terms of what was on the line, the fact that it was a grudge match and their was great build-up, they had fought in the amateurs too and that he was a huge underdog, made it a bigger fight.

I really like Fitz but like everyone has stated, he didn't seem himself at the presser. He needs that edge, a bit like Nigel Benn in a way. Hopefully he wins convincingly and pushes on. Needs to get back down to weight ASAP though.

Thought Fitzy would be fatter weighing in @ 170.
    He looks quite strong

He still has decent abs, wonder what weight he will fight at. Can't imagine he cut too much.

Scott has fought early in his career at 160 and that is where I think he will eventually settle after a couple of fights at 154 v Fowler and Ted.

Considering he is fighting 2 weights divisions above his usual remit, he looks in terrific shape, I was expecting Mr Blobby.

    Scott to win by KO.

Scott looked physically healthy on the scales albeit above his ideal competitive weight. Very talented boxer whishing him all the best in his recovery.

I'm 37 and I was worried that I'd slacked off a bit recently and got out of shape but I can say with 100% confidence that I'm in better shape than both of them. One of the things I was always impressed with Fitz about was his conditioning, for someone who lived the way he did I always thought that he looked in brilliant condition. I hope he gets through this easily enough, gets back on it and proves me wrong.

In for pics of proof you are fitter at 37 than Fitz at 168 pounds.

also pic proof needed to confirm its natural. If so fair play

Fitzgerald is a high level athlete, and you think that he's natural. Just LOL. And how are photos supposed to prove that one is natural? The closest you're going to get is a carbon isotope ratio test and anti-doping governance won't go near it, for obvious reasons. Photos are also not going to prove if someone is fitter than somebody else.

Haha, I'm not going down the Romeo Romaeo route. For the record I never said I was fitter than Fitz and the Frenchman, just in better shape.

I see Fowler immediately called out Fitzgerald at a higher weight. Absolutely textbook from him, not an inch of class. It's absolutely obvious that Fitzgerald needs time to get back to top form. Surely competitive pride would mean Fowler would want to fight the best Fitzgerald, not a shell. Reminds me of Bellew calling out Fury immediately when he came back. Fowler and Bellew two peas in a pod.

I read Fowler's tweets last night and he really is a classless oik.

Fitzy coming back and doing him again would be beautiful
