I think most would place JCC a close 2nd to SRR if he did indeed reach his intended target of 100-0, in some peoples eyes, SRR will always be the no1.

I do also think that if JCC had reach 100-0 then a very lot of people would have him as the best ever because of his pleasing style & the fact that nobody in boxing history had ever reached the magic 100 without any sort of blemish.

Dont forget, if Chavez did do this, it would mean 4 weight world champ aswell because he would have had to have beaten Whitaker at 147.

It sounds impossible BUT lets not forget that he was favourite to beat Pea & he wasnt planning to stay at 147 + he fought roughly 7 times a yr so at the time, most thought he COULD have done this.

Where would you guys have rated chavez if he retired at 100-0 ?

It's Blasphamy to even name another fighter along with Robinson.

I wouldn't rank him much higher due to the amount of 0-0-0's on his record.

    Why ? :huh

He wasnt a machine, he was just an extremely talented human being, so talented that he was good enough in most peoples eyes to be the best ever in the toughest sport of all but he had his losses too.

OK, he only lost once in his younger days to a larger man & he beat that man 5-1 in fights but are you telling me that Julio Cesar Chavez, the best Mexican fighter ever & at his peak, the top p4p fighter in the world has no shot at all if he never loses, becomes a 4 weight world champion & finishes with more than double the amount of fights/wins as Rocky Marciano.... C`mon, he must have some shot as the best ever if he does all those things, if not then I dont know what a fighter has to do to leapfrog SRR. 500-0 perhaps ?

Boxrec is brilliant but will admit themselves far, far from perfect. Plenty of them 0-0's were ptrobably tough rugged fighters who had fought under many an alias.

Assuming he clearly beat Whitaker, Randall and DLH, I think he'd have been a lock for top 5.
