VADA tested 5X and hurt/dropped every single opponent in those fights. Pac was weighing in at 145-148 on fight night from the lower weights. He just stopped draining.
Pacquiao´s team was appalled by OSDT. They did not want it. That was a gnarly cut? Alright, maybe. But the argument was that it needed time to heal. Yet the moment the negotiations ended, Manny signed a new fight for the same time frame that the Floyd fight was supposed to take place. And the whole outdoor arena thing was all just BS. Arum said they needed more time to do so. And where was this arena when the fight actually happened? Plus Floyd got cleared by USADA and NSAC. Fact is that both sides were just full of ****. Year after year they made just the dumbest excuses. "Oh, I suddenly demand strict testing!" "Manny doesn´t like needles" "Flat fee or no fight!" "New arena!" Yada, yada, yada. Worst time in modern boxing history. And then they fought when they were old and gave us a **** fight.
Not really. You don’t get called out by your daddy and coach for fighting scared and “win” a fight. All you did was get away with your **** and got scored for it, another judge would have scored differently.
i think the problem a lot of people have with floyd is that he doesn't appease the beer and popcorn crowd. pacquiao is an absolute warrior, but he was completely negated by floyd. there was no other way to score that fight other than a UD for floyd. you can't blame the master for the failings of the student.
This is false. Please do your research and use your critical thinking skills (if you have any). Well, if Floyd wasn't on board, why would the arena have been built? 150 pounds thirty day out from fight night. Full staff of bodyguards and a personal chef. How did he become severely dehydrated? Why would Floyd have needed to use illegal IVs? Also love that you mentioned NSAC clearing Floyd, but FAILED (or forgot or you're a big dumb mofo) to mention that when the news broke and they had to an issue a statement for PR/damage control, they said: "The TUE for Mayweather’s IV - and the IV was administered at Floyd’s house, not in a medical facility, and wasn’t brought to our attention at the time - was totally unacceptable. I’ve made it clear to Travis Tygart that this should not happen again. We have the sole authority to grant any and all TUEs in the state of Nevada. USADA is a drug-testing agency. USADA should not be granting waivers and exemptions. Not in this state. We are less than pleased that USADA acted the way it did.” And then just as quickly, they said Floyd did nothing wrong and will not investigate any further. Manny Pacquiao has been consistent and on board w/ OSDT from the beginning. After the first negotiations fell through, Manny Pacquiao's message was the same for the next 5 years — he said he would take any tests and with no cutoff and Floyd still didn't want it. Don't forget Floyd's famous words: "Everything in life is about timing. WE WAITED UNTIL THE TIME WAS RIGHT."
Pacquiao was injured (confirmed). Mayweather used illegal IVs (confirmed). Mayweather clinched the most he's ever clinched in a fight, landed the least punches on an opponent of his career, and he was the one that was stunned twice and took heavy shots against the ropes. Mayweather landed mostly glancing blows or jabs. Pacquiao countered the hell out of Floyd and landed the fight's more meaningful punches.
