Ruiz being obese and fat was good for his punch resistance and he was a better fighter when he was heavy

Ruiz best weight is 265 to 270

and why is his belly so flat? did he do lipo?

    Ruiz needs to eat again

My gawd his resistance is fine.
he got caught clean coming in about 3 times, regrouped

Made adjustments & nullified the right hand.

    ring rust says I.

His decrease in punch resistance could also be attributed to bring hurt in the Joshua fight.

Complete conjecture. Ruiz was caught with a great right hand and three catch right hand left hooks and he took them. AJ dropped Ruiz with the first combo landed in the first fight and made him do a little wobble in the 1st and 12th round of the second fight with right hands.

I think the weight loss effected his energy. He was very flat

Certainly did seem a little cruel that they starved him to make this fight. Poor Andy, I just hope they get him back in Taco Bell before he wastes away.

Theres a reason most heavyweights carry extra weight imo and its not just down to lack of professionalism a lot of the time.

We had fury and ruiz who both looked like potatoes beating wlad and joshua who we,re cut a few years back. Ruiz needs to bulk up...his problem was he bulked up far too much in the joshua 2 fight. Got to find a happy medium.

He's weighed less than that or weighed that, the same as that or a pound or so more about 20 times, including against Parker. He weighed 252 five fights ago and it wasn't like he weighed a ton more than that in the first AJ fight ie. his greatest ever win. He weighed 268 for that one. What this proves unequivocally is 1. Fat>>>muscle which is a theory I've already carried out extensive scientific research on, 2. That he was never that good, and 3. and what my learned colleagues and I have been telling you for ages, that the current HW division is garbage.

Fat Andy is currently rated #6 by The Ring but many had him #3 or #4 and he just went life and death against a 40 y/o shot to smithereens Arreola

A 41 y/o shot to smithereens Povetkin whose mechanism has completely gone sparked out the #3 HW about 9 months ago for goodness sake

And this is just within the last 9 months

At the risk of being overly-reactive, it was also a bad night for AJ's resume. 37.5 year old Chisora: an older and more worn version of the guy that couldn't land a punch on Fury and retired in his corner 7 years ago, was able to push one of AJ's best opponents (whom he beat by very fine margins in a nothing fight) to the limit and was unlucky to lose. Then the guy who delivered AJ his first crushing defeat was not able to put 40 year old, 18 months inactive, career-light Arreola down once over 12 rounds (a guy with 3 KO defeats who's been knocked down 6 times) let alone stop him.

At 400 pounds Nichols could easily eat Wilder's best punches but the drained 320 version was flattened by Jamal Woods in the first round.

Yes, Fat Andy couldn't even really hurt that ancient shell of Arreola and even worse, he hit the deck, very nearly hit it again, was shaken up and hurt numerous times, and he was the only one who looked like he might get KTFO.

Chisora sparked Takam out, whereas AJ needed the ref to bail him out with a premature stoppage just as Takam was coming on and he was gassed

And Chisora dropped Parker which AJ couldn't

They tried to lock my in an asylum for the criminally insane when I said Chisora would give AJ hell and possibly KO him

Here's what AJ had to say about sharing a ring with Chisora 11 months prior to Usyk vs Chisora

"I watched the Chisora versus Price fight — I thought 'Why isn't Price controlling Chisora?' Joshua continued to share. "Then I sparred Chisora. The guy is strong, you know. He is no joke. And I give Dillian credit for dealing with him twice. To control Chisora over 12 or 11 rounds takes some doing."

Joshua tabbed Chisora for sparring sessions leading up to his rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr. in December, when he defeated the Mexican fighter via a lopsided unanimous decision to regain his unified world heavyweight titles.

Those sparring sessions ended in mutual respect between Joshua and Chisora.

"Look at Derek's knockouts - they aren't when he lands five shots then the ref jumps in.

    "Boom! Artur Szpilka.

    "Boom! Carlos Takam.

"He hit them with one shot and knocked them out. You can see he carries one-shot knockout power."

It's a combo of ruiz not fighting in a year and him losing weight. You cannot fight for a year, go to a fat camp then expect to be a world beater
