Cleveland Big Cat Williams 1959 vs Frank Bruno 1986. Big Cat broke Sonny Liston's nose before being stopped. Frank Bruno is a tough heavyweight stopped by Witherspoon and Tyson, who wins and why?

This could go either way. Williams' superior hand speed and stamina would be the difference for me. Williams late TKO.

He was a talented heavyweight who was around at the wrong time as Tim Witherspoon and Mike Tyson. We could always match prime Sonny Liston against Frank Bruno, Lol.

Cleve would destroy Bruno, no doubt about it. Stronger, tougher guy who also had a lot of skill and never had a problem getting off in the ring, contrary to what some say.

    Williams crushes Bruno

Bruno can't handle big punchers ... Williams had top level power

Liston is a bad matchup for Bruno... Better, more rangey, harder jab would shake up Bruno badly

    Williams should win this.

Both usually found ways to mess it up. Have to edge it to Bruno…he survived or banged longer w power punchers then Cleveland but both weren’t necessarily good at it. If it goes to decision Cleveland wins but 7/10 times I think Bruno KOs him.

Williams certainly looked better on film but i kinda find him to be overrated. That being said he should stop Bruno late

    Why Williams Win:

    - "In a way he's tougher to fight than Liston because he has the speed the other doesn't have. You can't walk around Cleveland like you can Liston." -Eddie Machen

    - True gangster, the only one who made Sonny Liston fight going backwards once. Something george foreman can't do. - Me

    - "He's got plenty of heart, and that's the big thing. I hit him with some real hard punches in the second round and he just took it and came back." - Bob Satterfield
