How big a fight is this fight in the UK, and what will the viewing numbers be like?

    It's not on PPV.

It'll be through DAZN which most fans already have and at £2 a month it's a bargain really.

I don't feel like there's a lot of buzz about the fight. Saunders has faded out of the public sphere since his fight with Lemiuex 4 years ago.

Its probably bigger in the US

Most fans in the UK? Casual sports fans? A lot of people in the UK have never heard of DAZN.

It's not on PPV in the US, either. So, pretty low PPVs, I'd imagine. (LOL)

How the hell is DAZN £2 a month in the UK and $20 a month in the U.S.? (LOL) I swear to God. Do we have to bankroll everything?

The fight is on at 5am in the morning, that's why DAZN is so cheap in the UK.

When they get UK fights, the price will rise.

Very bad figures. Nobody knows Billy Joe Saunders in the UK. The only active fighters who a significant amount of people (and not even a majority) know is Joshua, Fury and Khan.

50k viewers is good. 100k is out of this world. Nobody uses DAZN and there's only one reason for that..they don't have Premier League rights. I expect 25k viewers at best, probably less.

And that is why Eddie Hearn moving to DAZN is a disaster waiting to happen.

If they want viewers they should do what BT Sport did in their early years, which is make the service completely free to build viewership. DAZN don't even have the profile that BT have. Nowhere near it. DAZN charging £2 is insanity.

Most people watching in the UK will be fans of Canelo. The people don’t know Billy Joe and most who do don’t like him. He certainly can’t command a UK PPV fight like Chris Eubank Jr.

Boxing fans will all have it, would be stupid not to at that price. On it since it launched I've seen the last 2 Canelo fights, Andrade v Williams, GGG last fight and will have Canelo v Saunders. All for about a tenner. Ridiculous value really. If Canelo Saunders was on BT Box Office for example it would be £25.

But yes, once DAZN UK starts showing fights from Britain then it's going to go up to about £10 I'd guess.

I'm in the UK and don't have or know how to get DAZN, also don't want to sign up for something for just one fight. I remember subscribing to BoxNation which seemed brilliant at first then turned into a TV channel of 24/7 Steve Bunce

This might not sound like a big deal but a problem Matchroom will have moving to dazn is losing the power of Sky Sports News. It’s probably the most watched channel over here at any one time (especially when pubs are open) and they have been barely mentioning these dazn fights, it’s not reaching the mass casual audience.

This is scumbag (BJS) vs fraudulent scumbag (Canelo). As much of a scumbag BJS, Canelo is just a judge buying, cherrypicking, drug taking, match fixing manufactured con artist. Id rather see BJS win in dominant fashion and end years of dumb fangirls defending that fraudulent ginger.

Well unfortunately for you your wish is not coming through because Canelo is going to do a number on BJS.
