“I don’t think Canelo can lose a points decision anywhere in the world! The money is followed. This is one of the issues with boxing – it is a business before it is a sport. In boxing, it is a business to the point where it doesn’t matter if you win anymore; if the business guy has to get the decision, then he will get the decision. That’s the unfortunate thing because Canelo is world class, he is top-level, world class fighter. “So just to beat him is a feat in itself, but then to also have to get a decision, you have two big hurdles in front of you. You have to beat this guy – who is excellent – you also have to hope to get a decision as well. “Personally, I think Lara could have gotten the decision against Canelo, but it was not a fan friendly style where you want to see that guy win the fight. Saunders makes it a bit more fun; he’s not just a touch-and-go guy, he wants to have the machismo approach to really out-slick you and also show that he is more man than you."
Yup , & he did it. wish more fighters would recognize this fact & grow a pair of balls. They will likely lose anyway so the question they ask of themselves shouldn’t be “what do I have to lose?” & more “What do I stand to Win?!”
I see Pac lives in your head rent free. Fact #1 - Pacquiao was robbed of a W in fight 1 because of some judge's poor math. Fact #2 - 2 and 3 were razor close w/ media scorecards split almost down the middle, but ultimately favoring Pac. No lopsided media scores like Golovkin-Clenelo 1 and 2. Fact #3 - It took the aid of PED expert and impressive muscular growth and stamina for Marquez to finally get the W.
True. But Paulie was still the best commentator in the game. His irrational hate doesn't come into his actual commentating.
True, but also true is ... fact #3.5 it also took massive balls the size of Mexico itself hanging off of “Dynamita” to stand tall & deliver the punch heard round the world. (peds or no peds which are supposed to shrivel & cause shrinkage)
What inconsistencies? I didn't mention Pac. You did. I simply stated the fact that Paulie hates Pac, but was still the best commentator in boxing. I said nothing about Clenelo. And then you took exception.
Paulie is probably the worst commentator/former boxer. He always sounds jealous of all the big stars in the sport.
