If you can't safely assume that David Tua would beat a middleweight then I give up trying to reason with you. You obviously live in some nostalgic fantasy land.

How would I make that assumption, when I literally have no data either way?

Are you serious right now? The hampster in your head can't spin the wheel fast enough to realize how stupid it sounds that a heavyweight won't annihilate a middleweight?

Yes but not when he defeated past prime Tua. That was at heavyweight. Sometimes you guys are beyond belief and I'm almost sure you're all just trolling.

But the point is, Byrd did used to be a MW, he gained weight, and easily outpointed Tua.

Jones Jr used to be a MW, he gained weight and easily outpointed Ruiz.

Toney used to be a MW, he gained weight and easily beat Holyfield.

Would any of these 3 have won their fights at 160 pounds, I highly doubt it. But they had weighed as a MW and did go on to beat ranked HW fighters.

Well history has shown that it doesn't always happen like that.

Without any data to go on, we can't simply assume that Tua will walk through a middleweight with good defense.

Tua would chop him in half.

Jacks bones , skeletal and cranial is just to small to absorb the hits 250 lbs Tua would be laying into him. Ridiculous mismatch

He was one of the slickest heavyweights of all time, and he made his fights boring, Dempsey is the complete opposite, he fought accustomed to how other heavyweights were in them days and they were all round about the same size as him, so I'm not saying he's bad, he was good for his time, but he would get destroyed by Tua

Dempsey has a good defense? He was wild, crude compared to modern fighters and he would get destroyed by Tua, he would simply overpower him, there is a 50-60lbs weight difference and when they meet in the middle of the ring and start trading, it would immediately become obvious that Dempsey shouldn't be in there against Tua
