Larry was ok but mostly he was too arrogant and could be negative.

George was ok to he gave some good perspectives as an actual fighter

    Emanual Steward was great

    RJJ was great

Max Kellerman was ok he just liked to recycle old quotes a lot

    Al Bernstein another good one

Bobby Cycz was a total kiss ass and not that good .

    Paulie was really good

Ferdie was ok but could be annoying

    Lampley was good

Can't remember the exact quotes here but it was something like this.

George Foreman talking about Pernell Whitaker.

''He reminds me of somebody that doesn't take instructions well.''

Larry Merchant and Roy Jones had a back and forth. Roy pulled out the I am a fighter card and Larry responded with, ''we can disagree without you pulling rank.'' Roy was amused and so was I.

Boxing commentary has definitely gone down hill. The business model is now aimed at the WWE crowd who just learned about the headliner a year ago instead of the knowledgable/educated boxing fan. It's like the difference between Michael and Bruce Buffer. One is classy and timeless, the other is a loud hypebeast. A lot of the classy elements of the boxing world that served to counter the crime and chaos are beginning to wash away.

RJJ - “You don’t know boxing Larry ... you WATCH a lot of boxing but you don’t KNOW boxing”

Larry - “Well, we should be able to disagree & have a discussion without you having to pull rank!”

George has a lot of charisma. That alone made me like him. But his commentary was pretty crap in terms of substance.

Lennox has neither charisma nor substance. I have no idea why Lennox is a commentator. I think the British accent fools Americans into thinking he's intelligent.

That was the worst commentary of all time, easily.

I was never a fan of George Foreman's commentary honestly. He often seemed to be making stuff up, and would often just wait for Larry or Jim to say something so he could disagree. I thought RJJ's analysis was usually better.

Foreman was there purely because of entertainment purposes.
Also because he eas a household name.

I rate Lewis as h2h #1 and rate him highly but I dread his commentating. He stumblss over his own thoughts and when he finally gets it out it doesn't even seem that insightful. Every once in a while I'll learn something new from his perspective but usually I cringe.
