The Pernell Whitaker vs Azumah Nelson fight.

Larry was talking before the fight about how he wasn't convinced by Whitaker yet, although most of his colleagues were. He said this fight could show that he is ready for prime time.

We get to round 2 and Whitaker does one of his backhand punches while he has Nelson in a headlock. Larry says

''I don't know if Whitaker will qualify for prime time with one of those backhands but he may qualify for Wimbledon.'' haha Oh, Larry.

Larry did warm up to Whitaker.

 

I miss George purely for the entertainment and memorable quotes.

Jim, Larry, and George were the greatest commentary team of all time!

 

I remember Merchant had Foreman beating Sculz on the scorecard , and it was wildly different from his colleagues

George-that's where Oscar gets his power from from when he jumps around when he jumps up and down like that that's how he gets his power when he jumps up and down!

Larry-well the whale AKA Johnson has been harpooned by Vitaly Klitschko.

George-it makes no difference that they wear waste protectors these boxers they're used to punching the air out of bags that's what they're good at.

George-it's a good thing to hit him in the arms and in the face too make him feel it through the guard shake them up!
