You can’t call that a quit job without knowing the extent of the injury. Saunders still has two/three years left. That’s potentially £5m+ in purse money still to earn. If he was seriously injured or felt like there was something seriously wrong he did the right thing.

Was a really intriguing close fight. I had Canelo 5-3 but it could easily have been 4-4

On judges scorecards, 2 had BJS 4 rounds behind after 7 rounds with the other having him 2 behind. He was getting shafted either way.

I had Canelo 1 up going into the 8 taking into consideration he would probably nick the close rounds. Doesn't matter anyway he broke his eye socket and Saunders couldn't take it.
