He was out boxing him in parts then but there was still a sense of inevitably watching it imo. I think Canelo had sussed him and BJS was going to unravel. He was getting tired, his legs had stiffened up with that uppercut as well. I don't just think he hurt the eye I think he was proper buzzed as well.

Saunders was getting stopped in the next round and he clearly didn't want to give Canelo that conclusive satisfaction.

You cannot beat Canelo unless you can hurt him.

As long as he can keep moving forward you eventually will get hit hard.

 

Until Canelo goes back up to 175 and tests himself against Beterbiev or at least Bivol I’m not interested. He can’t lose rounds with suffering a KD. No longer interested in anything he does until he fights a puncher.

Some of those catch-hook combos from BJS were stunning. Imagine if he had power.

 

Had canelo up...i know its boxing but billys shots have so little on them its hard to score them as clean shots half the time. Thats fine for fury and mayweather because theres still some sort of power there...but with billy its powderpuff stuff.

Although on the other hand canelo,s got to be on something. Hes actually pretty basic if you take away the fact no one can stand with him. Looks more skilled than he is cause his power gets them all scared to stand then he gets away with looking better than he is. Without that consistant power he has..more than mayweather would beat him.

 

I had Canelo 2 rounds up. BJS hasn't got a fighters heart.

 

Canelo is the prototype juice head. Great effort from Billy. Looks like the right decision to pull out having seen the score cards.

 

Yeah the uppercut that did the damage he had thrown a few rines before. Fantastic punch.

 

Billy was winning the fight.

One punch breaks his face and closes his eye.

From that point on billy had no chance with one eye.

Sending him out would have been suicide, no trainer would send his man out to get knocked out.

Terrible luck for billy, lucky for canelo.

The one he caught him, then threw an uppercut to the body and a left hook was class.
Can't blame BJS for that tbh, why come out with one eye, potentially blinding yourself, just to get jobbed on the cards anyway. 2 of them had him 4 down which is a joke.
