The score cards were absolutely atrocious as were some of the cards in the RBR thread. Saunders won rounds 1, 4, 5, 6, 7. He was coming on strong until the eye got messed up. So disappointing, Billy could have taken that, Canelo had no answers in rounds 5-7 The idea Canelo was breaking anyone down is ridiculous as well.. He landed a good shot in round 8 after being outboxed then ****ed Billy's eye up Being outboxed by an inactive 160lber who had looked **** in his last fights just goes to show Canelo is a massive hypejob I was surprised to see Chris Mannix, DAZN have the same scorecards as me. But not at all surprised by the judges scorecards.. Disgrace.. Absolute disgrace Well done Billy for the performance and there no surprise he was pulled out with an injury to his lead eye. He would have struggled with any left jabs/hooks continuing the fight.. Think he did the right thing, dumbasses berating him for pulling out are a joke... It was a beautiful fight whilst it lasted most exciting Canelo fight since GGG... I guess its back to boring sparring sessions for Canelo
Sure but no way was he ahead on most fans scorecards. I still had Canelo up by 1 round before the stoppage
He did exactly what I predicted he would. He looked excellent in there tonight and made Canelo look mortal again. But unlucky for him, the one Clen bomb that got through, landed in an awkward spot, and ****ed his orbital bone up. Clearly it did some serious damage. and he proved how ****ing good his chin was by not going down from it. Regardless, his corner was probably right to pull him out, with his right eye shot, terrible for a southpaw, so he'd have had a harder time evading Canelo's shots and as we can clearly see, he wasn't getting fair judging (shocker, I know). So he showed he was world level, acquitted himself honorably. But freakish injuries and weird **** happen, it is what it is. Still, Saunders proved his worth, even in a losing effort. So bravo Billy Joe.
You’re such a pathetic little div. Got his arse handed to him. You can’t score a fight to save your life.
and what did it amount to at the end? actually you are wrong... in order to outbox someone, you need to keep them off of you... which Billy clearly wasn't doing... Canelo was landing shots on him... Outboxing? Take a look at Usyk vs. Gassiev.... now that is outboxing... throwing 100 punchers per round, constantly moving... Saunders wasn't active enough... I guess he needed that 24 foot ring after all lol
Okay shitass biased fanboy. Whatever you say. It's a pity you think punches to the arms actually count.
I was surprised by how much the DAZN announcers were treating Saunders activity as though he was taking control of the fight. Competitive yes but Saunders never really took over, even for a round. Did he win some exchanges against Canelo, sure. Did he deserve a few of those middle rounds on activity alone, probably. He just never visibly hurt Canelo with anything he threw while Canelo was hurting him with half the stuff he was landing.
BJS was always going to be in the fight up until the middle rounds. He is a very good boxer. The issue with BJS was always going to be his physical conditioning. His legs didn’t look great from round 2 onwards, and the sign of him being trapped on the ropes that early taking a body shot wasn’t a good sign. If you don’t live the life out of the ring, are extremely inactive, then it comes back to bite you when you hit 30. I had it 4-4 after 8. But once that bomb landed that Canelo was trying to land all Fight. It was over, all the fight went out of BJS as soon as it landed. It landed because BJS ran out of steam and was getting hit by body shots to slow him down throughout the fight. Too many people don’t put enough stock in body shots. In conclusion, BJS was not physically capable of maintaining a boxing clinic over 12 rounds. He ran out of puff.
That's an excuse he talked trash before the fight stuck his tongue out during the fight then got his poor lil marshmallow face busted if you don't have the tools the sthu for as much as he talked he should have died in the ring ran the whole night then quit great prediction!
