I guess 2 eyes are better than 1.

But I still think he had 2 eyes when he "quit".

You could see them working on the eye with the metal iron thing. That eye was only partially closed, like 20% at most.

    I'm not buying it much.

About the condition, I can't trust anything they say now or later. After all the backlash from the fans, they will make it out to be much worse than it actually was to justify the ending and minimize the outcry.

    Hahaha yeah maybe.

Jr won't fight Charlo ffs, he seems to have gone the complete opposite direction, instead of going after world champions he is going after old shot welterweights.

    He is a joke.

They were literally prying his eye open in the corner. Evidently your vision tonight was about as good as Billy Joe's.

Jr will be unbearable for months now, he couldn't beat Saunders but he will bathe in Canelos victory like it's his own.

Embarrassing but the Eubanks have zero shame so expected.

Yes. And you went on some Cotto and handwraps rant. As you do so often.
Anyone even mentions Margarito and you immediately do it.

    Well Canelo isn't lying.

I'd like to see Canelo beat up Andrade, simply for that outrageous and embarrassing DMX impression.

    C'mon

BJS did not throw anything back after that punch connected

    His whole demeanour changed

    It clearly messed him up

Fair play to Ginge but i cant have much doubt over what happened at the end

    Bottom line really is

    Fair play to both fighters

BJS for making a Cenelo fight build up actually entertaining (usually boring and just muchos respect being given to each other) and for starting the fight looking to win

Cenelo for playing his part and finishing the job, very professional

Those 78 - 74 cards can suck deez nuts tho

I think we need to watch it again, when BJS went to sit down, his eye was not closed and nowhere close to be being closed. There was only a a small amount of bruising/swelling and slight discoloration. Then I think he just closed his eye as he was in pain.

Obviously, swelling increases over quite quickly so that may have happened after the fight was already called off. This will be help Team Saunders with PR.

Sorry, but I have seen much worse and seen those fighters continue, including middle-ages women.

Do you remember what happened immediately after the punch landed?

Canelo was celebrating with the crowd, raising his arms, he knew exactly what had happened by the state of BJS eye and expression, he knew it was over.

Canelo knew the fight was over before the bell rang to end the round, he has been around boxing long enough to know what sort of injury that probably was and if he knew then BJS' corner knew when he sat down and they looked at his face.
