I can accept your view that they'd beat him, but no way would they take him out early and especially not easy.

yeah Foreman isnt about to land that punch, Dempsey would do Foreman worse than Willard and Joe would do him as bad as Max Baer, there is a skill gap between those two(more skill) than Foreman.!

I know this isn't just about punching power, but if Louis decided to stand and trade with Foreman, I don't see it ending well for him.
Sure, Louis is faster and a better combination puncher, but Foreman had a much better chin and he doesn't need to land as many punches in order to do damage.

 

The more skilled boxer doesn't always win. You cannot discount Foreman's punching power and his chin. Also, he's pretty skilled himself. People just seem to think he's a strong brute and nothing more, but that's definitely not the case.

Both of them have power and KO ability ... So it comes down to defense and chin .... Both don't really have an amazing defense but Foreman had an iron chin while Louis did not
