I want to see Eubank Jr Vs Canelo. Let's see Jr back his mouth, lost his pen with Golovkin, on twitter tonight telling Canelo he is "ready and willing" to fight him... do it then you mouthy fraud. As for Saunders, let the eye heal, take a little bit of time off, assess the scene, maybe even consider moving back to 160.
i like Eubank Jnr, I think he's a good entertainer and value for money. I also see that he is currently mocking Saunders defeat in the press and on Social Media, but If any promoter puts him in the ring with Canelo and he goes past 3-6 rounds he will end up getting SERIOUSLY hurt. The fight to make is Saunders v Eubank Jr 2 it's a win-win for everyone involved. Boxing is not like the UFC and other sports where the best regularly take on the best, because of this there is a huge gulf between ambition and actual ability and it's just getting wider with the addition of multiple titles, tv channels and promotional outfits all vying for the same position.
Eubank Jr has had the contract in his hand to sign to fight GGG at least twice and ducked, and had the contract to sign to fight Canelo once and ducked. Kell Brook had to step in and get his eye smashed to bits by GGG because Eubank Jr last minute pulled out. So yep. He knows his level. I think a rematch vs Saunders would be fun. Saunders would need a tune up first though.
Saunders has always made more money from his **cough cough** 'other' business ventures than he has from boxing. The bloke is absolutely loaded. I doubt he will carry on now.
Good match ups mate. I think Smith will go up in weight and I think BJS will retire. If Eubank fought Canelo it would be over early. Canelo would beat him easy.
Being brutally honest, and it's not nice to say, but Billy Joe won't be the same again after last night. So you have to look at these matchups through a different lens. Will he even fight again? He doesn't live the life as it is, chuck in a now broken face and it makes it all that harder.
Saunders will never fight again, doesn't need to. Had a good career but that injury will end him. Doubt he'll want to rebuild either. Ryder v Eubank is good but don't expect Eubank to ever take a fight that makes sense for his career. I expect Smith to fight again in about 4 years such is his usual activity.
ironically, I won't be at all surprised if he ends his career with a "W" against Golovkin within his record. Golovkin is 39 now, Chris is 31 and has a habit of acquiring shot 'names' on his record.
Ryder - Eubank was talked about a while ago, not sure what happened there but it's a great fight, slight edge to Ryder for me. A lot of people mention Eubanks engine as his main weapon but I don't think it's particularly great, I mean he's in great condition but he spends large portions of rounds throwing nothing while stalking or talking a walk then a flurry or two, and repeat. To me, a good engine is being able to box for the full three minutes of a round without use of these 'time buying' measures. Have seen jnr with his mouth hanging open on more than one occasion, guns like he has need a lot of oxygen.
I don't want to see Eubank fight anyone but Golovkin. He's just trying trying steal a payday again, Golovkin even at his advanced years destroys him, he's just trying to angle himself for the biggest payday which is Canelo now. What's this about his engine? He works for half a round.
