How good Floyd was you mean.

You can say Canelo was not at his peak or best weight division and there's some truth to that but it gets evened out by the fact Floyd was 36 years old, started his career at 130 and barely took a clean punch from Alvarez over 12 rounds

BJS fought like a ***** (pitter pat punches) and went out like a *****

Quitting on your stool in this sport is pretty poor

    Nonsense.

Canelo was a corpse due to the weight limit.

If you're referring to the 152lb catchweight you really think Canelo being an extra 2 pounds heavier would have changed the fact he barely landed a clean punch ???

He couldn't weigh above it, so he'd be as flat as a pancake.

Look into the weight cut, must've been brutal.

Maybe. Fact that Canelo also struggled hugely with a slick boxer like Lara just after the Floyd fight makes me think some extra weight wouldn't have made much difference in the outcome but we'll never know.

Not saying it would have either.

Canelo had 40 9dd fights but no standout wins. Just saying that having to stay at that weight compared to being able to refuel etc means a world of difference in how he feels.

I don't buy all this "Floyd was 36...". His style of boxing is the best for longevity. He may have been 36, but he was still prime or close to it.

Only boxer in the history of boxing who was in his prime at 36. You read some funny things on here.

Floyd clearly wasn't at his peak when he fought Canelo, couldn't fight 3 minute rounds anymore, less movement and had to occassionally take rounds off to recharge (those were the rounds Canelo won). Still an elite fighter at 36 but prime ?? Nah, just shows how good he was.

Dont be a tit mate, those ‘judges’ for Canelo would have him wining rounds without him even landing punches.
