And to those shouting rematch. GTFO the sport as spectators. BJS is currently going undergoing surgery for several injuries in 1 area, and possibly fighting to save his eye! Yet you guys want to throw him with Canelo with a metal eye socket, to get his eye completely rearranged. Not out of respect for Saunders, but out of hate for Canelo. GTFO OUT THE SPORT!

BJS was doing well. It was a close fight. But a rematch isn't in the cards, saunders career is likely in jeopardy.

People want a rematch? Do people not care that BJS almost lost an eye the one time he took a clean head shot...

    This.

I don't know why anyone pays attention to a scorecard at the time someone got stopped.

    They are irrelevant

Not totally irrelevant I'd say - the fact Canelo was up against Kovalev on that cards at the time of the TKO is head-scratching to say the least.

It all adds fuel to the narrative that Canelo has judges in his pocket etc etc

I mean irrelevant in the sense it means nothing for the fighter that got stopped.

Being up on the cards or just up with people watching and then being knocked out isn't some sort of victory.

BJS is done. If he ever does come back(after a long ass time) his management would NEVER EVER let him face anyone who hits hard again.

BJS would be a fool to take a rematch. First, the damage to his eye is going to take a while to heal and I don’t think anyone would want to take that kind of risk again. Secondly, looking at the scorecards, it’s obvious he is never going to win a division versus Canelo. He was clearly beating him prior to the eye damage and the scorecards of the corrupt judges speak for themselves. BJS isn’t a KO type fighter and the only way anyone is going to get a W over Canelo is to knock him out.

I don’t even think Beterbiev will beat him no matter how badly he brutalizes Canelo. If he knocks Canelo down, look for the ref to call it a slip and give him thirty or forty seconds to recover. Boxing is more corrupt than ever and no fighter benefits more than the ginger man from Mexico. GGG should fight him, take the decision L and cash in his chips for retirement.

He wasn't "clearly" beating Canelo, and even if he was officially ahead that's absolutely meaningless after 7 rounds. He was going to lose every round from round 8 onwards even without the punch that cracked his eye socket. Thats because he was tiring and Canelos power was getting to him.

Saunders was on his way to getting stopped one way or another from Canelos power. Even if he survived or avoided that eye punch he was going to get absolutely punished the next 5 rounds losing all of them.

So GTFO with that Saunders was ahead BS. Just like Wilder vs Ortiz, that doesn't matter from the end result or what was going to happen.

If they fought again with a 100% healed eye Saunders would get KTFO some other way. Like from perfectly timed liver shot that leaves Saunders wincing on the floor.

Canelo is greater than Saunders and the way Canelo outsmarted Saunders this weekend showed it.
