We all saw that Vitali was beating LL before the ugly cut that stopped the fight. We also know Lennox despite claiming he wanted 3 more matches, refused to fight VK again and just retired instead. He was certainly unsure of himself after fighting VK. Many will say that Lennox was not peak, but perhaps Vitali was not either. Prime for Prime and without injury - who wins this mega fight?
Lol based off reading a few of your post I can tell you are Vitali fanboy and will make any excuse for him. We know for a fact that Lennox Lewis was not only past his peak but much heavier than he normal weighed in his prime. Even then Vitali lost. Who cares if you think he was winning on the score card. At the end of the day a out of shape , past his physical peak Lewis beat Vitali. A younger in shape Lennox Lewis would of stopped him quicker. Also for the people who think because VItali took that uppercut and didn't go down so that mean Lennox Lewis couldn't hurt him. Then you would be wrong. Lennox hurt Vitali with jabs. Just go watch the highlights yourself. Lewis would land jabs or grazing right hands and VItali's knees would buckle and he would hold on.
Lennox Lewis latter rounds TKO Vitali doesn't have the power to put him away and he'll start to collapse from the bombs Lewis will land
Lennox Lewis was overweight and almost 38 years old and still beat Vitali. Deal with it. If a PRIME Lewis fought Vitali he would win a UD or TKO him late
Everyone should say Lewis was not peak, Jesus ****ing Christ. Anyone that doesn't should be banned from posting about boxing forever.
I have serious doubts Vitali would go the distance with a prime Lewis. Against large opponents, Lewis goes in seek and destroy mode
I see no reason he wouldn’t stop him on cuts again, he would take the fight to Vitali after being outboxed early, LL could adapt very well
I can't see this going the distance, either. Vitali was able to waltz through almost all of his bouts, having things his own way. He just didn't have that luxury against an 'End of the Road' Lewis. It's difficult to see how those circumstances improve for him, along with his chances, against a prime and in form Lewis.
I don't see it. Lewis was agressive against Taller men like against Biggs, Akinwande and Grant. Lewis gave Vitali issues when he pressed the action round 3 onwards. He would've done it a lot more effectively against Vitali in his prime
But prime for prime, Vitali would lose, and it wouldn't be particularly close. The chance exists for Vitali to get that one shot in but...
