Atlas is a character. Froch was the only one on the broadcasting team that had Canelo ahead - by 2 pts, which implies no bias whatsoever. And one doesn't have to listen to the promoters, only look at the footage which showed that Saunders only had ONE CHEEKBONE LEFT. You don't have to be an MD to know that you preferably should have two.

    I listened to the podcast.

as I thought the TS took something out of context.
Teddy said IF and MAYBE and it eas before we found out the nature of the injury.
    Besides its his opinion.

Teddy loves the sport he saw through the corruption that is blatant in the sport & called them on it telling it like it was. That is why he was fired, he refused to become a company shill. The clown that took his job knows about as much about boxing as a ballerina & has the charisma of a damp Squib

He also won the fight in emphatic fashion.

Atlas is a knowledgeable coach and I respect his outspoken approach. He doesn't mince words or dance around what he wants to say. A lot of people in the media, particularly sports media, aren't accustomed to that. They are mostly apologists for athletes who they depend upon for ad revenue. Part of the reason Atlas was let go from ESPN. That said, sometimes he gets it wrong, but most times he gets it right. I had the fight about even up to the stoppage. But it all depends on how you score a fight. Some judges may score ring generalship and footwork (where BJS had the advantage) while others put more value into who landed the harder punches (where Canelo had the advantages). Judging fights is subjective. That's why some judges scorecards are way off from one another.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, he seemed to imply that if anyone thought Saunders was doing well then they are insane and know nothing about boxing. I listen a lot to his podcast and just felt that this was a bit off track from him but hey he’s a marmite character

Canelo broke his opponents face in two-thirds of the scheduled fight. The best Saunders can take from it is a moral boost that the TKO wasn't a 10-count.

    That is ehy scoring sucks.
Fights on scored on clean effective punching.
The rest of criterias are optional.
Saunders wasnt scoring effectively at all.

    Teddy always keeps it real.:band:

No spin, no bull****, just breaks it down , great in depth analysis.

Had 6-2 for the fight too for Canelo, same as me.

I think big difference in forums posts is cos boxer's origin.
Beterbiev " didn't had scored effectively " on Gvozdyk because he landed lesser number of punches etc.
This didn't mattered cos fight did not had ended on cards.

    Does count ofc.

If someone doesn't throw for 10 sec for example and other boxer does throw, this is yeah, activity advantage.
I do not mean these boxers mentioned in this thread just in general.
Judge might split round in 10 sec etc fragments and attempt to score this.

I think better if they used monitors with a lot of cameras installed: with view from top to the ring like from roof and from all angles.
For judge is not easy to see all there that easy ( I mean judge who scores fights on cards ). They not rarerly also see lesser than ref in the ring or is broadcasted on TV.

This was one reason why I didn't had intent to be judge. Okey, a bit older times and still.

They do but get outweighed by harder concussive blows.
Movement and activity in themselves are useless without actually doing some damage.
