Prime Diego Corrales vs Teofimo Lopez at 135

This is a tough one. Corrales was not known for his defense. Corrales would go through some shots to get Femo. If his chin holds up, Igo with Corrales.

 

He went through shots with more proven fighters than Teo.

 

Too many question marks with fimo right now. Corrales wasn't a great fighter by any means, but man he was tough. I don't know if fimo's chin would hold up, but he is wayyyyy more skilled. I slightly favor fimo for now.

 

Its still a bit early to say, as we don't know enough about Fimo's chin.

However, its very possible he would be too fast and powerful for Chico.

Though Chico often gave up this advantage.

 

Teo. He’s too big for Corrales and can counterpunch.

 

Teo knocks him out.

 

Have to consider Chico the more proven quantity, but he had a tendency not to be in the right place and I think Teofimo's counters would be effective. Hard to say.

I think Castillo would rip apart the Lopez we've seen to date.

 

I don't think Lopez hits harder than Castillo.

 

I don't think Mayweather hit harder than Castillo either, but he managed to drop Corrales 5 times. Althought Lopez may not hit as hard, he is more explosive and faster than Castillo. I could see Chico getting clipped and dropped. Of course, Chico being Chico, he gets up and fights like hell.

 

That fight was at 130 not 135, Mayweather was a different animal at 130 he stops both Loma and Lopez in the same night

 

Another thing to add up Lopez looked like he was getting hurt against Loma who is a feather fists puncher compared to Corrales, We first need to see more of Lopez.
