All this shows is Floyd was smarter than Pacquiao. Selling out arena’s in Las Vegas generates more money than selling out AT& T stadium in Texas.

Mayweather was a huge draw but it did take a while.

He built his star profile by matching those guys who had more box-office appeal and charisma and huge fanbases and he did it internationally.
He also understood about spreading his name/brand into non-boxing areas, associating himself with music stars and hip-hop producers, entrepreneurs, 50-cent and even Justin Bieber.

He has no charisma, and his fights were often boring for the casual audience. The "Pretty Boy Floyd" tag was discarded and the "Money" tag was applied. He attracted more success and money by building that image of money and success.

Eventually he became the biggest draw in boxing with these strategies.

"Floyd Mayweather was never a big draw..."
    Really? You REALLY believe that??

You can hate Floyd's guts all you want and accuse him of whatever but really? I don't think anyone will ever beat his sales.
Dude, he's the number 1 highest-paid athlete right now! smh...

Well, maybe you think about casual flowchart.
I never had cared what boxer's color is, I had watched him because his specific style cos technical stuff.
Had he 0 in record on no, too didn't had mattered for me.

Ofc such predictable outcome fight like he did vs Conor and one other fight I did not had interest to watch.

Plus McGregor brought over MMA fans to that fight and was great at selling the fight too, I think it got a lot of attention on twitter too, youtube vids were getting high views when they featured the fight.

Floyd never really fought any black fighters when be became the 'A-side'. He knew that black fighters don't draw crowds. Why do you think we never saw him in the ring with Clottey, Alexander, Peterson, Bradley?... none of them were ticket sellers & it would reflect on Floyd, showing he's not the PPV attraction without the right opponent (An Asian, Latin-American or even White opponent).

I'm a Floyd fan and to date, I've never seen that fight. It was ****. That has nothing to do with star power or being a draw, it was his known last fight and he packed it in................

But I digress: The common denominator of an abundance of the box office blockbusters were who...................Floyd..............Very foolish to even kid that Floyd wasn't the draw. Floyd could come out of "legitimate" retirement and fight a top 5 WW and likely break 1 million PPV.

Maybe he had more charisma, more talent and was just smarter than all these other guys you think had more charisma. His box office numbers don’t lie.

    What? LOL.

You do know that selling 4.6 million $100 PPVs is better than selling 70,000 stadium tickets, right? LOL.

Your math skills can't be that bad.
