I commend your patience @Aussie Invader - I tried to tell you

shadow literally has alerts for Canelo threads. If you check his post history it's any time of day from 3:00am, 6:00am all the way through to midnight. I'm reasonably convinced at this point he is nothing more than a bot to drive traffic in these threads.

The same as boxing master and MVC! - RIP

A lot of people miss the point that boxing is for the majority a mental game, at least 80%. Also the fighters who rely on their iq to win fights will still be in their BOXING prime at a much later age and can still perform at the highest level due to styles and due to good matchmaking. I still view a 36yo floyd in his BOXING prime. As i view bernard hopkins prime at 36 also. Both fighters relied heavily on their high boxing iqs.

Thank you, and I really appreciate you saying this. And when you add into that how hard Mayweather trained for Canelo and the kind of shape he got himself in, it needs to be understand that for all intents and purposes Floyd still was in his prime that night. After that was when he really started to fall out of his prime by the time he fought Maidana. He was not as mentally or physically prepared for Maidana as he was for Canelo because he knew Maidana was not as difficult of an opponent and he didn't need to train as hard.

You can also add to that the fact that madanas style was harder for floyd to overcome as he likes to think in that ring and maidana dont give you that time to think so floyds phisical abilities will come into play more which explains one element of the struggles he had in those fights.

Where as canelo was also a thinking fighter who was developing his game, which played into floyds hands style wise. Look at tszyu vs hatton as an example, tszyu was a good thinker at 36yo but hatton didnt give him the time to think in there so he had to rely more on his phisical abilities which were slowly declining.

    Just my two cents.
