In what way was Vitali more able than Tony Tucker? Tucker was just as big but had a much longer reach than Vitali. He had better punch variation and he threw shots with more fluidity and speed. He could box off the back foot just as good as Vitali could. Vitali was predictable and could be timed and countered. He threw the same arm punches over and over. He backed off with his hands down low. He couldn't throw combos as good as Tucker. An old Tucker arguably done better against prime Lewis than Prime Vitali did against past prime Lewis. I see no reason why Mike would not be able to do to Vitali what he did to Tucker. Tucker displays a better skill-set on film. Its clear to see. This content is protected
Prime Tyson had elite, unparalleled athleticism ... Vitali doesn't have the power to really hurt him and he doesn't throw uppercuts either that even prime Tyson would get hit by .... Tyson attacks the body and batters Vitali to a late TKO against the ropes... Vitali fights back hard but he doesn't have enough to finish Tyson
Vitali does a lot better than Wlad but if they fought 5 times Tyson wins 4/5 I don't think prime Tyson is unbeatable. Vitali can definitely win but I don't think he has the power to hurt Tyson ... His KOs come from an accumulation of punches ... He would have to land on Tyson all night into the late rounds ... And I think it would be hard for him to win a decision due to Tyson's aggression If Sanders hand speed bothered him then Tyson is a step above with more power
Interesting matchup. Mike struggled with taller guys and I don’t think he’d land many headshots on Vitali. I want to say Mike by bodywork but Vitali’s constant punching is gonna make it crazy difficult for that. I lean towards Vitali
