Mayweather`s shoulder roll defense was undone by a green Canelo but he kept smothering Canelo to win, Plant like Floyd will be wide open to the hook because he uses the shouldder roll too, a pundit once pointed out that Roy Jones exploited the shoulder roll with hooks also, v Toney, should fighters stop using this flawed defense?

Floyd also had to be much more active going forward than backward since he was taking so many shots.

Broner, in particular, looked utterly ridiculous when he was doing it while backed up onto the ropes and being lit up by Maidana.

Mayweather didnt really rely on the shoulder the way broner or ennis do. He boxed more tradition with both hands up and would use the shoulder roll when backed up against the ropes to avoid the barrage of punches with throw at him. Shoulder roll has its pros and cons but its stupid to fight that way when youre in the center of the ring.

Excellent video. Canelo was teeing off on Mayweather when he would dip down super low like that when he was against the ropes, good to see this highlighted in a video. Floyd would crouch super low, dip way down, then come up, Canelo would time him in combination landing to the body and head, Floyd would pop up then pull back but still couldn't get out of the way to avoid Canelo's shots to the dome. Fans are so blind they need this spoon fed to them, people thought Floyd was dodging punches and putting on some kind of a schooling. Floyd was bending lower than legally allowed repeatedly throughout the match and was getting away with the cheating all night. Canelo though didn't care, he was timing him to the body, finding openings inside and around the shoulder roll and would smack Floyd across the head every time he popped up from one of Floyd's illegal duck downs.

CJ Ross must have noticed all these shots were landing even thought Floyd was below Canelo waist for half the damn match. Floyd was dipping down at extreme angles popping up then pulling back when those punches to the head landed. All you gotta do is freeze frame those moments when Floyd pulled back you can clearly see Canelo's punches were smacking off that bald head. Fans were blinded by biased commentary, they don't know what they're seeing nor do they know the rules that prohibit dipping down that low, about time they got it spoon fed all this.

Floyd definitely cheated in many of those rounds by dipping down well below the waist and it's about time he was called out on that. Canelo was catching him and wailing away at that body and head, and got the better of Floyd when he tried to fight off the ropes.

Horribly flawed video. Guy takes a few clips from a 12 round fight, a fight pbf put on a clinic in btw, and highlights points where canelo had success and then acts like PBF's defense sucks. This is a desperate reach and lazy agenda fueled analysis. He then goes on to say pbf if he was prime today he couldn't be good today because punching technique has evolved. LMFAO!!! One of the dumbest arguments I've seen on YouTube.

You roll the left hook just like you roll the right hand, in the opposite direction. It leaves you in a position to counter his hook with your hook.
There is a lot more to that defense than Floyd used, a lot more than internet "hardcores" are aware of. Fouts is a fitness trainer and has never trained a fighter.

More creative than Spielberg some of these guys.

Floyd was clearly bending below Canelo's waist, and he was doing it repeatedly throughout the match. Should have been warned, and since the ref wasn't doing his job, the judges should have taken note of this and scored the round against Floyd for this. Many people accused Cortez of not letting Hatton work against Floyd and not penalizing Floyd for excessive clinching. Floyd got away with a lot during his fights like the dipping down super low. Even with Floyd bending below his waist, Canelo was timing him to the body and teeing off on Floyd when he popped up. Floyd was getting punished every time he tried fighting off the ropes against Canelo. That's a great clip when Floyd landed that right hand and tagged Canelo right as Canelo dug that left hand into Floyd's rib cage. All people saw was the right hand Floyd land on Canelo and ignored the left hand to the body. Also we also can't forget about Floyd's neck crank of Canelo in the 4th round, Floyd got Canelo in a headlock and tried to twist Canelo's neck. Should have been DQ'd for that too.

Anyone can make a video take a few clips from a fight and paint a picture of whatever they want to. I saw the complete fight and I know what happened in it and so does everyone else with sense. He's a hater and he won't go over a complete rbr breakdown of the fight because he knows he will be exposed. He wants to cherrypick moments and act if that is how the entire fight played out. But too bad for him people like me know better.
