Anthony Joshua acknowledges the possibilities of Tyson Fury pulling out of the negotiations

Fury playing mind games, looks like it is working, Joshua sounds emotional.

 

How about a WBC mandatory in the meantime?

Here is what is going on.

Fury and Wilder had a contract to fight a third time. Wilder exercised his option for the third fight a week afte the rematch. They were going to fight in 2020. The networks with the rights to televise asked that the fight be pushed back to 2021. All parties agreed. The fight was pushed back.

Eddie Hearn then told the Fury camp that he could get more money for a Fury-Joshua fight than they could make with a third Wilder fight. They listened. Eddie called his guy in Saudi Arabia - the only place willing to overbid. He said he would overbid. Eddie called Arum and said "I got the guy to overbid." They all high-fived.

Arum and Fury and Frank said we're done with Wilder - he missed the deadline - leaving out that they all (both fighters, the sanctioning body, the networks televising) agreed the fight should be pushed back to 2021.

Arum and Fury's mindset was Wilder can sue, we'll pay him off, but we're going to "make bank" so who cares. Eddie got a guy who will overpay.

Wilder said where are you guys going? We have a deal. They said "sue us." Wilder went to the arbitrator who was included in the original contract in case something like this occured and the teams couldn't reach a deal.

Meanwhile, Eddie's guy kept leaving on vacation. Then he came home and celebrated the holy holidays. And Eddie couldn't get the money ... for months and months and months.

Then Arum says, crap, we can't be sued by Wilder if there's no money from the sheik. He'll sue us for everything.

So Arum said there won't be a Fury-Joshua fight.

Then Hearn says, wait, I got the guy, he said he'll give us the money. Just wait a little longer.

Arum says "Great, money."

Then, they waited. Still no money.

Now the arbitrator is ready to rule. If he says Wilder's deal is invalid, Fury and Joshua are free to keep spinning their wheels for months while Hearn waits for the sheik to quit taking drugs and become lucid enough to transfer a couple hundred million in an account Arum can lay his hands on.

If the arbitrator says Wilder's contract is valid ... Wilder can sue them if they don't fight him ... and the money they (Fury/Arum/Frank) get from the Joshua fight will be tied up in court, which defeats the purpose.

Or, they can say "WE HAD A DEAL WITH JOSHUA ... but that no good Wilder ruined it."

And Hearn can save face and say "I had a guy who would pay so much more." And Arum can save face and say I tried all I could but the arbitrator and Wilder blocked us. And Fury and Joshua can save Face and say "we would've fought ... but that dosser Wilder." And all the Brits can pile on Wilder and point fingers at him.

And it's all nonsense ... because all Wilder did was prepare for the contracted third Fury fight in 2021, which should've taken place last month or this month and would be over already ... if Hearn and Arum and hadn't been screwing around for the past six months.

 

Who is WBC mandatory?

 

Excellent idea. Fury should fight Whyte next. Arum and Hearn are already talking. Hearn promotes Whyte. Seems like a natural.

I'm sure Anthony Joshua would love that. Eddie couldn't get a deal for him vs. Fury, but gets Whyte the fight.

That would be fun.

It's only tangled in Eddie's balls. Because he can't sign Joshua in July or whenever their deal runs out ... if he doesn't get Joshua a "big" fight ...

And if Joshua's "big fight" becomes Whyte's "big fight" ... he could lose Joshua and be left with Whyte, who Fury would destroy.

So, Whyte's going to get screwed AGAIN by Hearn, because Hearn has been steering him away from Joshua since Whyte signed with Hearn (and the only reason why Whyte signed with Hearn to begin with was to get a Joshua rematch for the title) ... and now Hearn would have to steer Whyte away from Fury, too.

I have no idea why Whyte is with Hearn. (LOL)

 

I'm not an AJ fan but it does look like he wants it at least.

 

Whyte is a good one, but I'd take anyone in the rankings. It would get the division moving a little bit.

 

Yeah makes sense. Hadent thought it enough. Promotional conflict while I was thinking its belt organisation bull**** holding it up

 

Sure just get the fights going on. Thats why WBA regular was ok before Manuel Charr/Fress Oquendo battle. Got contenders to actually fight each others instead just waiting the shot for a champ
