Are there any? Ok, maybe not toddlers, but small kids. Mike Tyson, Floyd and maybe Pacquiao? I can't think of anyone else. If we are talking teenagers and up, it's another story. But I don't think that many kids would recognize Ali. And I don't think older people care about Jake Paul.
Probably none. Millennials in Japan know Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali Some know Pacquiao Fewer know Mayweather
Ali and Tyson are obvious choices. They transcended boxing and enjoy worldwide fame through different generations. No active fighter fits that description.
I think that still Ali. Boxing business had reanimated his name by introducing Ali trophy for WBSS, cos this most likely youngsters too had googled up who this Ali was. There ofc are some other well known names, usually this depends from country and their activities. Some former pro boxers are promoters, business ppl or/ and in politics.
Yeah I agree, Tyson and Ali became household names because boxing was more mainstream back then. The world really doesn't give a **** about boxing anymore and boxing only has itself to blame for that. Pacqiuao and Mayweather are big names and known by people outside boxing but to a lesser degree and theres a few fighters who should be worldwide mega stars but arent because it's too much of a niche sport now.
Considering only "contemporary-ish" fighters.............Floyd, Pac, Canelo, Cotto. A lot of Americans also know Wlad, not by name, but a lot of casual people still relate him to Drago
