He was 217lbs vs Chisora. (15 stone 7) He's now 229lbs. (16 stone 5). I must say with his style, I'm surprised with this, He didn't look as quick on his feet vs Chisora as I'd have liked, another 12lb weight gain seems like it will slow him down even further, and at 34 years old too... Will this help him do damage, or just slow him down? If he cannot knock out Chisora who flies at you with no defence, he wont knock out bigger opponents IMO. Maybe he should have stayed around 215/220.
215-20 I’d of thought, anymore an it’ll hinder him. He’ll come in lighter than what he’s weighing I’d of thought
It's a mistake alright. Makes it even more pitiful when he gets stuck in the corner, against a obese 250lb plus behemoth, and given a good beating.
Injuries and age are gunna catch up with him before we see him become a great Heavyweaight me thinks. Looked uncomfortable early against Del Boy and there are much fitter, stronger lads in the division than Chisora.
He didnt look that comfortable later on either even though he was in control. Just didnt seem like a guy who is gonna go to the top at HW.
Nah. He's naturally a big guy. He's taller than most heavyweights and not gangly or anything like that. 230 is probably his natural weight.
