Getting a rack of millis for free and a shot at undisputed with time for a tuneup is the best possible situation for Wilder... hard to see anybody turning that down.

If Wilder ends the year with all the straps, I'm ****ing done man.

Wilder won't ask for 2 million.

He would be foolish to ask for anything less than 30 mill.

10's of millions for Wiilder for sitting on his arse, or no bueno. Well played team Wilder. Very well played.

We keep hearing about "life changing money", how fighters "deserve every penny they get" and how they "can get seriously injured". Wilder and his team are now in the position where they can demand the money and get paid the big bucks with no risk. That's ****ing genius.

What you reckon happens if Fury calls his bluff? You reckon he goes through with the fight or you reckon this is an easy cash grab?

Personally I think he's just after step aside money.

Wilder will be able to basically name his price as he has the law on his side.
Promoters are not going to want legal battles which would put AJ/Fury bout in doubt and as consequence lose finances, Mr Wilder playing his hand of cards to perfection.

IF it goes ahead (well "is going" ahead), I see Wilder's team throwing injunctions at it and stopping it via the courts. They won't want to promote the event with those looming, and potentially more serious legal reprisals. I also don't see a "fight with the winner" being a suitable recompense, given that Fury has tried to ignore a contractual bout with Wilder once.

I think it's an easy cash grab, and one where he essentially names the price. He'll likely ask for what he'd expect to face Fury + a hefty %.

The damages will be astronomical if they proceed not to mention any network that dares broadcast the fight will be consider liable. Arum may be old but he's a lawyer, he know the deal.

    Unfortunately Wilder/Fury is next.

Oh sorry, I wasn't clear, what if Fury calls his bluff by agreeing to fight Wilder, you think he genuinely wants the fight or he's just angling for step aside money?

I'd be tempted if I were Fury to throw the ball back in Wilders court, that would put some pressure on them as I'm pretty sold that they are after step aside money with no great intention of making the fight. The timing of this "ruling" screams cash grab to me.

What if Fury says he will fight Wilder mod July and then AJ a month later? You think Wilder would accept or he just wants a pay off?

    Oh sorry!

I think Wilder takes the fight if Fury offers it. Think he'd RATHER be paid more and not take the fight, but he'd take it (he strikes me as...a strange chap who would say yes TBH). Lose and he retires super rich. Wins and he gets the last laugh.

I'd agree that he'd rather take step aside (and probably ask for MORE than he'd get to face Fury).

Telling the world how much Fury and Joshua were set to make was the stupidest thing anyone could have done with this case still looming. You don't tell your wife you have a secret house in the Caribbean if you're having an affair with your secretary!

Lol Wilder is not as dumb as people feel he is. He has played a master stroke here. AJ and Fury are going to pay out of their behinds to get him to step aside

Yeah I suppose it's a win win situation for him financially speaking, pretty sure he'd get obliterated again were the Fury fight to go ahead but like you say he seems a weird guy and has probably convinced himself Fury cheated or something.

I actually think the build up to that fight would probably be more entertaining than the actual fight itself. Fury would make wilder look such a fool in the pressers, etc after the beatdown and excuses of the second fight. The third fight would probably just be a shorter repeat version of the second.

Is it exclusively tied to the WBC belt? If so, just drop it. Most folks dont care for titles anyway especially when everybody ranks two fighters #1 and #2.

Fury probably will drop the WBC belt to allow Wilder to fight for it in the meantime, throw him a few million with some agreement to face off in 2022... That would be my guess. But Wilders team has been adamant so who knows. Don't rule out a Fury retirement.

My understanding is it has **** all to do with WBC title and is a contractual rematch between the two men. Might be wrong but if it was that simple, toss the title after signing the Joshua fight and don't give Wilder a penny...

    ... Or get franchised...
