You mean that fight where he got knocked around and totally outclassed by an ancient Hopkins?

Really, I don't relish the idea of a Pavlik - Williams fight, mostly because Williams is used to fighting much shorter guys and pressing his huge reach advantage. Against a guy with equal size and much greater power, he would be out of his depth.

But I would prefer it to KP - Winky. Winky just brings nothing to the table at this point, his defensive boxing ability has faded and all that leaves is a target with a very solid chin in the ring.

I'm fine with Pavlik-Williams. I actually think it's a pretty damn interesting fight.

I know Pavlik's not scared of Wright, but let's not get it twisted- Wright's not the one overestimating his drawing power.

Last I checked, Wright's fight with Hopkins did nearly twice the sales as Pavlik's PPV rematch vs Taylor. By throwing out an offer like that, Arum's trying to pretend that Pavlik's the established draw. He's not. And, if Arum doesn't invest more in Pavlik's opponents to get the best ones to to step up to the plate, Kelly will not reach his full drawing potential. Period.

This is exactly the type of bull**** I'm talking about. Floyd got all that **** for fighting Hatton but now Pavlik is supposed to be fighting a WW and his fans think it's better than him fighting Winky? Get the **** outta here!

Well I really hate when anybody use the race card when things dont go their way. There has been plenty of black and hispanics fighters who became stars and people loved them. I like to watch Winky, but many people don't like his style. Real boxing fans appreciate what Winky does in the ring. But most people just want to see blood and two morons banging their heads, not boxers. Same thing happens to Ivan Calderon. Is not a race thing.

HBO is putting up the money. That is all they think the fight is worth. It is what it is.

In the other side. Winky is a big name. But too much time have passed without making a fight. People forget very fast. He need to fight someone to proof he still have some gas in the tank. Fight anyone. Go KO some bum out or star calling people out in public. Make some noise. Williams just got a 1st round KO and beating him will make Pavlik look very good. Winky will be a much harder fight but not a lot to win in that fight. If he beats Winky people will say Winky is getting old or something like that.

I doubt that. In 2001 Trinidad was undefeated, was a top 3 p4p fighter, had won titles at 147,154, and just KO'd the second best fighter at 160 to pickup another title. He was also 28 and was a decided favorite against a 36 year old Hopkins. Look at how many discredit Hopkins for that win.

Now what do you think is going to happen when Pavlik beats a guy coming up two divisions who's already lost, is nowhere near anyone's top 10 p4p, and will be a decided underdog?
