Uhh, what? There's a LOT more money to be made with AJ than Wilder.

Agreed! Call his buff and make the fight happen asap. The irony is that its Hearn who finally expediate the Fury vs Wilder fight otherwise the clowns Arum/ Warren and Wilder camp would had dragged this on.

Maybe Arum is angling for Hearn to pick up the side-aside tab from his side of the pot?

But honestly **** knows what's going on. I'll be gutted if this fight gets binned because there's no certainty it ever gets made. AJ's loss to Ruiz proves nothing is certain in this sport and planning ahead more than the next fight is fraught with risk...

Well ****... at least Wilder fights are always compelling due to his one punch power.

Also they can do the AJ fight in England like y’all wanted.

    I agree with this.
Even if Fury beat him badly last time, and 'has his number', it only takes one moment, one punch, and Wilder can upset the applecart.

Also, I'd be interested to see if Fury can IMPROVE on the last one, get Wilder out of there inside 2 or 3 rounds.

Looking back, Arum was acting like someone who had seen this movie before and knew about the dumb twist ending.

I just thought even in boxing they wouldn't wait almost a year then let something like this delay it further. Live and learn!

I think he needs a worse beating.. No ref stoppage, I want Fury to be allowed to dent his head unconscious before Malik Scott throws the towel in and over Wilders disfigured face

Stated he wanted to make the fight.

Falsely claimed Wilder legally didn't have a leg to stand on regarding the contract and that the time had expired.

Refused to make step aside money to Wilder.

Already had reserved the stadium for July for Wilder fight (despite Fury being adamant that he would never fight again after his accusations).

Seems like he never really had any real interest in making for AJ fight.

I also do not think the outcome of Wilder Fury 3 is a given as well.. I felt like the first knockdown on Wilder messed him up for the rest of the fight as he his balance was way worse than it usually is (which is embarassing as it is lmao) . Wilder did connect somewhat in those first two rounds with the right hand as well but Fury managed to take some of the sting out of it . I would not be surprised if finally after 24 rounds Wilder catches him. That said Fury clearly is the favourite and I hope he hurts him

Agreed. I think its mental that Fury isnt up in arms with his promoters.

Hearn has been on record that any step aside for Wilder is coming from team Fury. Is step aside was needed for Usyk it would come from team AJ.

The big thing I cant work out is Fury is going to fight Wilder. Lets say for argument sake in the best possible case they do 750k PPV buys which is a big if given how Wilder was steamrolled in the last one. After provider cuts etc there $50m in that fight to split which Fury gets $30m.

If something happens and he loses or gets injured etc he loses the $75m payday from the AJ fight forever as it will never be undisputed and in their peak again. Surely it would even make sense just to give Wilder his $20m and take $55m for the AJ fight given its a 2 fight deal and he will make a fortune off that rematch.

For me boxing has to make a stand here. Never again will we get a clear undisputed heavyweight champion again and we have the ability to no longer have 8 differen heavyweight champs. Yet boxing is shooting itself in the foot.

Fury wanted a tune up fight this is it. Fury is not scared of Wilder. He is going to batter him. Why go into a fight thinking you might lose. You are looking at it from a punters view. No need to try and rationalize this from Furys thinking. He knows he is going to beat Wilder and has been training for months while Wilder has been twerking.

But Bob Arum said all along that Fury would be facing Joshua OR Wilder. He never pretended otherwise. There was no massive charade. He said all along that they would face Wilder in July if Hearn cannot come up with the AJ deal anyway.
He never claimed to be making the AJ fight, but didn't stop Hearn doing so.

You can't say Arum did a "PR stunt" pretending to make the AJ fight. He did not.

Obviously, Fury wants the HUGE MONEY that the Saudis showed him.
Fair play to the Saudis and Hearn for getting that one set. But if Fury has to fight Wilder, I guess that's what will happen.
