Why isn’t this a win for Wilder? Either he’ll get paid a significant amount to step aside or get the trilogy where there is a possibility of him KOing Fury. If that happens he stands to make more with the potential AJ fight.. Sucks for us fans but it’s beneficial to him.

The only person who can win the Lineal heavyweight championship in 2021 is Deontay Wilder.

    Sounds like the plan worked.

I want it and think it would be a good fight.

I just want AJ-Fury a lot more, and the winner of that match can (ideally) fight Wilder. That won't happen though.

Fury is in the Rocky vs Clubber Lang 1 zone at the moment with Fury in the Rocky Balboa mindset and Wilder in the Clubber Lang mindset

Wilder needs to figjt a Whyte or Chisora or perhaps one of the up and comers. No fan wants to see Fury slap around Wilder like a back alley drunk. We've seen it twice already.

If I was Wilder I would now request a small step aside amount with a signed contract to face the winner next, let Fury and AJ fight he’s then in a mega fight next with a payoff and a payday.

As he may have it now it will be a career ending loss with no mega payday.

Wilders is a big winner in this because either way he gets paid and gets paid a lot.

If I was a Saudi I'd be tempted to throw him $20m and stick him on the card. Doubt he'd agree to that but at least you're getting something for your money that way.

Maybe Fury is angry and will prefer to get Wilder in the ring again after these long ugly talks.
Fury does know that Wilder's career will be done if he will lost 3 rd fight and maybe wish to deliver Wilder in hospital.
Only one place where this is possible without legal problems is exactly this 3rd fight requested by Wilder.

Is the money even there for a rematch though? Wasn't that the issue before, they weren't able to raise the funds to pay both fighters? Sure that was during Coronavirus but I'd argue people are LESS interested in this fight now that Joshua Fury was dangled in front of them and pulled away at the last minute.

What an absolute mess this is.

Wilder has a contract for a rematch and a 40% cut of what said fight makes, that is all... Tell him it's 10 million to step aside or way less when he fights Fury in a tiny venue, no site fee, with no crowd, no ppv etc! This is far from over and is gonna end in Wilder stepping aside and retiring or getting beat up and retiring!

Basically a win win for Wilder, he’s going to get paid either way.

Be more worried for AJ vs Usyk.
