Cissoko wins comfortably. Conway has no power. Although he's a good boxer, he won't have enough to beat Cissoko.

Strange fight that KC shouldn't have taken. Should continue to build domestically.

Think he knows he has a ceiling and will have to take a Cissokho type fight within the next 2-4 fights. If you are going to lose why not do it in front of 70,000 fans on a Canelo undercard. It’s something to tell the grandkids.

win this and it moves him on massively if he loses he moves back into the domestic mix where he was anyway.

move got a feeling that Conway is going to be Fitzgerald’s test in July fight camp at 154 if he loses. If he wins he probably gets the Cheesemen rematch

Fitz is fighting in Newcastle on June 12th in about 6 / 7 weeks time.

Ahh, I knew of his being at Fight Camp a few weeks ago, I just figured that with such a short turnaround, he'd now sacked it off for Newcastle instead.

At least a fight every 6 weeks will keep Fitz active. Good news.

Yeah you can see on Ifl tv Hearns interview with Fitzgerald after his fight. Fighting in June in Newcastle then July then he wants to fight for the British title in October. He said the fight in July will be a proper fight.

Yeah that’s right in another tickover at 160 then fighting in a reasonable fight at 154 in July fight camp before a big fight later in the year

Lets hope that people can actually attend the fight at the end of the year.

I think we all deserve a top top night out after the past year or so.

The July fight intrigues me. I wonder who this "reasonable name" is that Eddie was on about? Brian Rose?

Donrt think its decided yet but likely to be someone Eddie has used before so my guess is Jez Smith, Brian Rose, McCauley McGowan, Harry Scarff or Navid Mansouri or if he loses on Saturday Kieron Conway.

Hearn said the next fight will be a tick over (June) at I presume 160 and then he fights in July against "a reasonable name" (Hearn) but at what weight, I have no idea.

Fitz absolutely folds Rose, I can only presume current weight is the issue as he shreds the weight. Plus given the Preston /Blackpoo rivalry, it deserves a crowd.

I am quite happy for Fitz to be careful over these next 2 fights in quick succession as his weight drops off before a classic fight late on in the year.

i think thats exactly the plan. Down to 160 in June. Then down to 154 in a winnable named fight like Jez Smith, McGowan, Mansouri before getting back in the mix

Agree with you regarding Conway taking the Cissokho fight on such a big stage. Too big an opportunity to turn down and despite the loss, he didn't disgrace himself and his profile has grown.

I can't see Conway being the July fight for Fitzgerald however.

Fitz and Conway were sparring each other in preparation for each others last fights... so why would they do that if the intention is to fight each other a few months later? Doesn't make sense.
