You missed the context of what I was saying. Jeff Lacy looked like a world beater up until Calzaghe. When he was matched tougher you saw his flaws. So it’s hard to gage where Crawford is if he continues to fight shot or lower level fighters.
Difficult to truly know as his resume is weak, but his wins are spectacular. he needs better comp...but can never land a decent fight.
Exactly. Pretty much what I said in my first post. He was offered a contract with a guarantee minimum that’s only exceeded by the Big 3 HWs and Canelo. Who wouldn’t have signed that contract.
BS. Defeating Khan, Horn, Brook, and mean machine, given the current landscape of the division is borderline atrocious. And completely unacceptable for a p4p talent.
He's the best, or one of the two best, at 147. The only question is whether it's him or Spence jnr. I really hope we get to find out before the older Crawford is left to decline.
They don't want to fight. Both are rich enough and don't really care about the sport nor the fans all that much. They got theirs.
The difference is that Lacy looked like a world beater but Crawford is a world beater. His skillset is far superior than Lacy's. You can downplay his opponents but the fact is that he beat them the way he was supposed to and that bears witness to the fact of why he can't get a fight with those so-called upper level fighters. They totally respect his skills because they know. Lacy never had that much respect. I liked Lacy but he didn't have what Crawford has.
this guy is p4p material. You have one crawford for generation, you dont have more than that. That guy is prettey much unique, his talent is off the charts. Can he lose? ofc, everybody can. It means nothing. Crawford's talent is so high that is hard to believe.
