Hell no. How the hell do you defend a WBO paper title for 10 years and then be considered the best of your generation? The answer is, you don't.

Beating two undefeated in Lacy and Kessler is much more than beating Trinidad who was great puncher but just two divisions below! Hopkins exposed Trinidad the same as Calzaghe exposed Lacy ... of course Lacy was not in the same league as Trinidad but he at least was in the same weight class.

IMO Hopkins win over DLH is smaller than Calzaghe wins over Hopkins and potentially Jones.

At the time Lacy was just considered as next Tyson and Calzaghe had enough balls to fight him and beat him badly. Judah didn't had confidence when he was tagged by Baldomir and was running like a chicken for the whole round. Not mention the true chicken dance or the intentional low blow against PBF.

Calzaghe is the best of our generation, it just cannot be proven to you idiots as there is absolutely no logic you are capable of comprehending to back it up.

He already is. The Jones fight would probably lower him, if anything.

Im truly mesmerised by your lack of knowledge.

    1. Beating Kelley is a very good win but not 1 that makes you an `incredible` fighter.
    2. This was Barrera`s FIRST fight at 126 & he even did 15 days of weights so not to be overpowered by Hamed physically & also... Naz had been at 126 since 1995 when he beat Steve Robinson so its not as tho he still had to fill into the division by the time he fought MAB in 2001 so, in my book, Naz WASNT small for a FWT.
    3. I agree, Naz was at his peak in the previous division but it wasnt bantamweight, it was SUPER-Bantamweight (122 lbs)

Now to the point of the thread....

I would still have Mayweather as this generations top boxer but I think Calzaghe is.....
    1. Best 168 lber ever.
    2. Top 5 of his generation.... EASY.
    3. Best British boxer ever.

    :thumbsup
