Think of the ammunition Fury now has to talk **** about Wilder. Costume, loaded gloves, a beat down over him, firing of his coach. Gonna be bad for Beyonce. He might snap and swing and the fight is off.
Didn't Fury say he'd never fight Wilder again after Wilder said he cheated? Sounds like it doesn't take much to get under Fury's skin. Just accuse him of cheating. Accuse him of glove cheating. Accuse him of PED cheating. Fury's the one who took years off after failed tests. Fury can shoot his mouth off all he likes. All Malik Scott has to do is stand in the dressing room with Fury before the fight and watch them wrap their hands ... and then demand they rewrap their hands ... and complain about the wrapping all while it's being done ... and accuse Fury of cheating in the dressing room ... and Fury WILL BE THE ONE to lose it. (LOL) Add to it Anthony Joshua will probably be sitting ringside before and during the fight. That huge lost payday ... sitting right there grinning. A guy in Joshua who Fury knows he can beat and now it's gone. And all that smooth boxing goes out the window. Poor Fury. I see a relapse coming on.
Yes, my thought exactly. Fury is going to absolutely OWN him pre fight, with all the costume nonsense and whatnot. Wilder has it steep uphill in the mental battle, having been dominated in the ring and made an absolute joke of himself outside it.
He hasn't made any mental adjustments or came to terms with where he went wrong. This is bad news for wilder, i wouldn't be surprised if we see him crying and he has a mental breakdown
This forum not only has a ton of accountants and contract experts but also a boat load of shrinks......
Nah, it'll be his usual gimpy leather jackets with tassels and skinny jeans crap that he somehow thinks is fashionable. Maybe one of those Armani coats that looks like someone barfed all over it or some sort of Erkel outfit with oversized red bowtie or something. That Sauron costume's probably been stamped to buggery now. All the lights will be broken and stuff.
Hopefully there some actual real tension between the two now through Wilder BS accusations. The fake beef stuff before they laughed and hugged each other in the press conferences for last 2 have been cringe.
And one real-life shrink, old bean! I happen to agree with my armchair colleagues: Wilder is only mentally 'tough' by being obstinate and doing a very good impression of someone who believes in themselves. But to be truly tough, you've got to be in-touch with your fear. Roy Keane played against the fear of losing, not necessarily to win. Wilder is a braggard, in absence of the emotional ability (at least, publicly) to journey through failure to victory. There's a million ways to break this kind of man mentally. I'm gonna enjoy the build up!
Yes, obstinacy is Wilder's key trait. It's probably what got him where he is, but like a Greek tragedy, it'll also be the making of his downfall. Fury's main job will be to break through that concrete shell of denial that Wilder has built around himself and make him truly face up to his failings. That'll probably result in a massive breakdown though, so if he wants the fight to go ahead he might as well just do his talking in the ring, and be content just to publicly clown Wilder outside of it.
