Using the argument that Floyd beat Pac is a bit redundant. Ali also got decisively beaten by Berbick and Holmes. No one would argue that those guys are greater than Ali.

In terms of legacy, resume, acheivements in boxing it is a toss up between both. I think Floyds '0' gets a bit too much credit and hype.

Pbf fighter of the decade schooled pac while he was shot didn't lose to no hopers get stopped by no hopers and faded and shot guys got stopped by a man pbf shut out. He also schooled canelo which is better than anything pac has ever done. Lastly if pac had pbfs record and career and pbf had pacs no one here would be calling pbf greater than pac. Pac is more well liked so they give him a pass and more credit than he deserves.
    Pbf>pac:deal:

And I think pac gets too much credit for longevity when he has multiple loses and loss stoppages on his record. Lastly your Ali comparisons is flawed first you're acting like pbf is a bum he's the fighter of the decade and the best of the era he schooled pac when they met. Big difference right there.

Pac is definitely not more liked. Pac receives a tremendous amount of disrespect from media and fighters. Floyd gets it only from fans.

Why? I don't think that large number of ppl hate boxers.

I ofc scared that instead of long talks we do not have fights like Spence Jr vs Crawford and a lot of other mega fights.

Not likely this will happen but yeah, If Pacman will stop Spence Jr in distance he will become as God in boxing.

I think this is a step too far for Manny.

A Mickey Garcia or even a Danny would have been just about doable (maybe), but I don't think Pac is at the Spence level at this stage.

Still, he's going out against the best in the division, a division that is nine divisions above where he came in, 27 years ago, against a much bigger man who was four years old when Pac had his pro debut.

Dude always did face the best.

I didn't think it was possible to be camp over text, but Pimp C manages it absolutely perfectly with his "stop!"

If he beats Spence, I say, "Yes."

    Best ever.

Others up for consideration would be guys who fought 75 or 100 years ago and all their fights, and questionable wins, and brutal losses, aren't available to review like Manny's are.

He is certainly the greatest ever of our lifetimes.

He has had a truly unbelievable career.

Beating Spence, at this age, would be remarkable.

He would become the greatest fighter since Duran&SRL, maybe even greater than them.

If there's any narrative, it's Spence being ATG material at this point. I know he's over 30, but it's a little early. Especially, given his big wins are the same as Keith Thurman's, but later.

Yeah, I agree with that 100%. Spence is probably the best welterweight in the world, in his prime. If Pacquiao can beat him, that's massive.
