Pac signed the contract for the Crawford fight and spent a long time waiting for that fight to pull through.

Thurman got a tune-up. Yeah, he was rocked, but otherwise schooled a tough contender 10 rounds. And Pac fought a Thurman that was more active than the version Porter and Danny fought.

Lucas stopped Taylor who had never been stopped before and then he KO'd some Thai guy, so Pac fought Matthysse coming off of 2 wins.

Spence looked brilliant in putting a beating on Danny. Showed zero negative effects from the car accident.

You are using a word of different meaning in the wrong context, but if you think cherry picking means that Pacquiao can and does choose whoever he goddamn wants based on his position and the opponent's strengths, weaknesses & monetary compensation, you've already answered your own question since he's literally doing that.

Why is Spence cashing out like this?

 

It could be as simple as Pac seeing how Porter nearly beat Spence and Thurman, and Porter used to be Pac's sparring partner so he feels this is winnable based on how Porter did and the fact Pac beat Thurman. I am surprised he chose Spence and I think he is going to get hurt

 

A part of this is he's still, on some level, the plucky kid from GenSan who believes he has to work twice as hard as the next guy to be successful and can't rest on his laurels.
