You think he doesn't? He carried the torch for the sport for a long enough period of time that he deserves any reward he gets from it.
Anyone that buys those circus side shows of his are not boxing fans Real boxing fans support the FIGHTERS!! like Manny
Sounds alot like you should have framed that post with "imo" because it's just that, your opinion and a bad one in mine. I'm pretty sure people are free to spend their money where they desire. I have a hard time believing someone who hates the guy that kept the sport he loves afloat for a generation is a true boxing fan. You let your emotions get in the way of rationality. And again Floyd absolutely deserves any spoils he receives from his contributions to boxing. How many times have we seen athletes in retirement no longer able to cash in on their life's work? Quit being a hater dude.
The **** do you guys come up with this? How the **** did he keep it afloat? You guys make it sound like he funded boxing. Boxing fan has kept boxing going. The casual that turns in to watch Floyd fight once a year or maybe every other year are not the ones keeping boxing going. It’s your boxing fans who has the subscription and pay for the other PPV, that has kept boxing going. This dumb ass statement of any boxer carrying the sport is one of the stupidest statement I’ve seen on here. Unless they pour their own money into boxing to support the sport itself , this statement is stupid.
And what world do you live in where the most famous, most visible, highest grossing fighter in a dying sport is not keeping it afloat? Oh I guess you're that guy that thinks undefeated prospects fighting for vacant belts while never seeing a top 10 ranked guy is what's keeping boxing alive? Sports have always been about star power. And hell yeah the casual fans that tune into the biggest fights matter alot more than the hardcore fans that buy subscriptions and every ppv. It's sad but it's true. Ask yourself a question: the ppvs that hardcore fans buy usually struggle to get a couple 100k buys, yet the star attractions the casuals follow easily eclipse 1 million buys regularly.....why is that? Boxing is no longer mainstream as it once was and that's fed the slow death of it. Losing casual fans and the revenue that comes with them is the death knell. Without a guy like Floyd and to a lesser extent a guy like Pac what would have become of boxing during their era?
You didn't explain **** on how Fload Mayweather kept boxing afloat. All you have spewed is how much money he has made. Not a dime of that goes to nay other boxer. So again I am asking you how the **** did Floyd keep boxing afloat?? Boxing hasn't been main stream since the 80s. And your dumb ass is saying the sport is still alive cause of Floyd? LMAO.
Lord forgive me, I can see how deeply Mayweather have impacted your life in an apparently negative way. I hope you someday recover from it. Again all the money Floyd made doesn't go to the boxers, duh. It goes to the networks that used to pay the boxers, keep up. He was the single biggest name in the sport for an entire era, that's more than enough. If you need more than that it's OK, I already understand your pre-existing condition.
I have nothing against Floyd. Your dumb ass claim Floyd kept boxing afloat. The networks make money and they keep that money. They don't give fighters ****. If you can't sell your fight and draw viewers they don't put you on. It was a stupid statement from you and instead of answering or trying to back up your statement you make it sound like I'm attacking Floyd. Boxing has kept boxing afloat. Not Floyd you dumb ass.
Soooo upset, and for what? So you disagree, great. Idgaf to be honest. And no you're actually attacking me for having an opinion that has you in your feelings, settle down man. If you don't think Floyd deserves any praise or credit as the face of boxing that already says everything I needed to know about you long before your emotional outbursts. Disclaimer, I don't care too much for Floyd myself but I respect his greatness and dedication to his craft. You should try respect a little more yourself.
Praising Floyd? "Floyd kept boxing afloat". Clearly you are ******ed. Do you understand what you wrote? You are saying without Floyd boxing would have died. For a generation (20-30 years) he did according to you. LMAO
I understand perfectly what I wrote, I'm not completely convinced you understand my man. Emotions quite often cloud judgment, so Im still giving you a pass for being over the top like you are. As I said previously I already know everything I need to know about you. Your failure to communicate in a useful and respectful manner just reinforce that thought. You're so hung up over the thought of Floyd receiving a shred of praise that you're embarrassing yourself here.
No dumb ass. This has nothing to do with my like or dislike of Floyd. Its your stupid , beyond stupid statement that you think without Floyd boxing would have died. Not once have I said anything about Floyd in this thread. If you understand what you wrote then please do tell us how one fighter kept boxing afloat for a generation, a generation being between 20-30 years.
