He has the frame for it. That's what matters the most. He just needs to put on some muscles. He could fight TC in a year after a tune up at 147.

Fite TV had NOTHING post match, no interviews at all. I hope gave Ramirez full props for his heart. I know the pre-fight needle is Taylor's way of psyching himself up for the big fights, but Jose seems like a genuine nice bloke.

Nah man. If anything Taylor should stay at 140 and fight the next available contenders, or rematch Ramirez. Duckford should be fighting guys in his weight class like Porter, Thurman or Ugas.

Agreed that he's among the best p4p boxers in the world today, and probably top 5 all time among Scots already, but Josh himself is on record saying he doesn't think he can surpass Buchanan (whom most historians put on even footing with Lynch, making Taylor at the highest #3). His accomplishments for 18-0 are glittering indeed but even as good as, say Ramírez is, neither he nor anything else on Taylor's resume is better than Laguna x2. As far as Lynch, he was considered the fifth best flyweight of all time by Nat Fleischer and I've never seen him outside anybody's 10. I suppose in time people could rate Taylor as highly as that at 140lbs, but is being a top 5 super lightweight (which has luminaries such as JCC and Hatton up top but shallows out pretty quickly thereafter - so basically one ATG, one borderline case, and then ...crickets) as great a feat as being a top 5 in an "original eight" weight class? Idk..

Btw I really enjoyed this fight. I think this was the most exciting fight for me since Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk and Pascal vs Jack

Crawford will get no credit if he beat Taylor. Posters will just say hes never fought at 147 and that crawford was too big once he beats him.

Yeah, Taylor is still behind Buchanan, but it's close now. Laguna is Laguna. He won't catch Lynch; almost impossible for him.

I think he'll finish above Buchanan though.

It's a disgrace how Buchanan has been treated by UK boxing establishment - although he's admittedly had his bevvy problems, he's not really had the support that I feel someone of his stature should have had.

Buchanan was before my time but if Taylor somehow beats a name at 147 like Crawford or Spence he surely eclipses Buchanan. I’d actually like to hear Jim Watt’s opinion on that comparison.
