After Hrgovic trained hard Hunter dropped out, it seems that the next opponent is not in sight...

    ibf rankings -

    1 NOT RATED
    2 CHARLES MARTIN
    3 OLEKSANDR USYK
    4 FILIP HRGOVIC
    5 JOSEPH PARKER
    6 AGIT KABAYEL

Christ that is a really terrible line up of fighters really besides Usyk.

So it's basically gonna be Parker vs Hgrovic for the IBF or Parker vs Joyce for WBO.

Parker is gonna get a chance despite only just scraping a lucky draw vs Chisora LOL.

I hope Hrgovic beats him, I'm already bored of Parker.

I hate all the ducking in the heavyweight division.

There are some talented up-and-comers like Hrgovic and Makmudov, but they are being ruined by long periods of inactivity because no one in the top 25 to 50 is willing to fight them.

Hunter correctly dropped in rankings after refusing the Hrgovic fight but why didn't Charles Martin drop in the rankings when he refused?

Out that list I think Parker is the likely fight.

Feel bad for Bakole as he agreed to fight Hrgovic and that would be a good fight.

    No one wants to risk.
Hrgovic is not well known, looks that more dangerous than a lot of old dinosaurs who are highly ranked. Why to risk, a lot of these dinosaurs are more well known.

    Most likely maybe Parker?
If they wish to invest in Hrgovic, they should book Pulev who soon will be 40 y.o and still is highly ranked and more well known cos fought vs Klit and had this A.J fight too under belt. Pulev also still is highly ranked.
Maybe also Povetkin, he then most likely will be 42 y.o, shadow of formerly big name, arguably not top2 but top 3 top 5 for damn long years in HW boxing and also Olympic champ, World champ in amateurs, in europe he still is relatively well known name.

Yes, fighting Bakole would be much better than Hrgovic just remaining inactive, wasting away his prime years.

Lol at least Charles martin and the others besides Usyk is a actual heavyweight. So how is Usyk about these other guys? Because he beat Chazz Withersppon and Chisora a guy who loses all the time?

Hrgovic’s prime will be wasted as we enter Fury Vs Wilder VII - this time it’s personal. Fury after having won the first 6 meetings it is discovered that wilder has yet another rematch clause that allows him to fight Fury in Alabama with Fury’s arms tied behind his back and Bayless as referee.

I understand that Kabayel is the latest to duck the fight. Paint Dry Parker ducked it before him.

It is now with Tony Yoka to respond.

If Yoka ducks then it goes down the list as follows-

    Andy Ruiz Jr
    Luis Ortiz
    Joe Joyce
    Dempsey McKean
    Otto Wallin
    Zhang Zilei
    Martin Bakole

WOW, A lot of fighters duck Hrgovic.

Even Yoka don't want to fight him.

Wallin vs Hrgovic should be a good fight.

He needs to fight a top ten opponent. Its a shame Hunter backed out.

Was Martin mandated to fight Hrgovic like Hunter? That might be the difference.

Plus Martin pulled out of a mandated fight with Hunter earlier in the year because of an injury, which then resulted in the IBF mandating Hrgovic/Hunter for the mandatory position, so he might simply still be injured. Would be harsh to drop a guys ranking just because of an injury.

    Del Boy?

Chisora isn't going to get a world title shot with his recent losses to whyte and Parker. If the money is right I can see Chisora taking it. Worth a smaller pay day from Hrgovic to build his name in the UK?

Ortiz would be a great fight IMO too. But would Ortiz risk another loss that would likely send him into retirement?
