Khan has a weak chin, poor defense, and poor recovery. That's a triple whammy.

Khan made some serious dough, though. I also think about this when these threads pop up :)

Khan got hated on for being cocky and perceived as protected. But I actually agree he is a warrior and always came to fight. No issues with him and glad he made a nest egg for himself.

He never used his speed intelligently... never mixed it up, slowing down to break the rhythm of his opponent, then switching up to a fast burst of punches. Good fighters eventually timed him once they had adjusted to the speed. Exiting exchanges in straight lines with his chin in the air was another flaw he never ironed out, weird considering his chin was his biggest weakness.

Khan's patterns are predictable and this is because of repetitive traininng and pad work.

Once you become predictable you can be timed by anyone who has more variety than you.

I just remember at the time a few minutes before the ring walks they showed Prescott on the pads warming up and I remember thinking ‘oh dear, Khan has his hands full here’

Didn’t it also come out later that the guy who was training Khan at the time was an old trainer of Prescotts? Or maybe a relative? It all stinks and obviously some people won a lot of money behind closed doors by the sounds of it all

You guys hate on Khan like he's done you a wrong. Facts are that he was better and accomplished more then most British fighters.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if he was white anglo Saxon protestant he'd be revered as one fo the most exciting boxers of the past two decades.

You can insult him all you want, but you can't and should never deny that he was always there to please the fans. Even in losing, he always gave action packed drama and entertainment.

[QUOTE="DoubleJab666, post: 21079958, member: 112700"Exiting exchanges in straight lines with his chin in the air was another flaw he never ironed out[/QUOTE]

This pretty much sums it up.
